Nice bikes. Just out of interest is that an Aliante saddle on the Trek? I see you have a Toupe on the Spesh. How do you get on with both saddles? I'm trying an Aliante instead of my Toupe just now. Toupe just a tad on the firm side for longer runs. Can't make my mind up if I need a cut out though....

    hi mate

    thanks on the comment

the saddle on the Trek is a bontrager race basic the 1 who came on the bike, very comfortable after big long rides

the saddle on the Spesh is a toupe I didn't had a change to go on big long rides with it yet coz I just got the bike few days ago, done 40 kms yesterday on it and was comfortable aswell....I don't spend to much time on the saddle most of the time stand up, it's just the way I ride

Picked up today for £100 s/hand as a first 'proper' bike for my 12yo. He doesn't like drop bars but I'll talk him around.

I'd say they were a necessity. Those yellow Conti sidewall markings need to go. :P

OK, after the required time to make the bike acceptable, let alone ride-able, here's my "new" bike.
Comments welcome (like I have a choice)

Not a bad effort, but cut them cables a bit shorter and you could save a few more grams

Didn't take the photo so didn't check to see if I followed the "rules".

This used to be my commuter/courier bike. Disc wheel now removed and put on my current courier bike.

Check out the extreme bar tape. (Still not finished).

Doing a custom paint job in a couple of weeks so i'll post another pic when it's done.

So it's one rule for the rich and another for the rest of us.

You should be a policeman or something.

Infamous, you have made a fair point and I feel like I have become too much of a road nazi (if you can!).

Badge has been removed until it complies fully with the 'rules' A cheap bike presented well will receive a badge just the same :D

I promise to behave in future.

It is a very very very nice bike to be fair, just not OCP.

I was only joking about being a policeman, you're much too nice.

Bhima is in the least position IMO to comment on OCP matters. Thankyou for that timely (if upsetting) reminder Aggieboy.
