Rich, did you buy the CAAD9 F&F only? If so, where?Where\'s me jumper?0 -
-
My winter bike, I've rebuilt it myself apart from installing chainset, BB cups and headset although the headset and chainset I could do myself.
My CAAD9 after 1900 miles, looks like the day I bought it

Might as well add mine in here...What do you think???

You know what the blue tape is for. I could just use a tape measure but since the blue tape is there and it's not falling off It's not hurting anything so I'll keep it on..
It's not a fashion show.0 -
Well to me it's not a fashion show, ok I do like to clean my bike so its perfect but I dont think gears need to be in the stated position and same for wheels and that, my bikes look fine in the pics as they are.
It was just by chance the valves lined up together and my gears where in big little.0 -

Why did you bother posting if you weren't going to do it properly?0 -
The blue tape's there for the same reason as the silver tape on my Spesh Tarmac (above). It took a long time to get my riding position and I ain't gonna lose it. Sorry about the valves, they have a mind of their own and prefer being at the top of the wheel. The crank placement is down to my silky-smooth bearings. They spin so freely, they just end up where they want. The chain is an ultra secret, new design which changes by thought control a la Firefox. Sorry for thinking the wrong cog.0

I've done it properly, I see a picture of my bike, my bike is clean, done properly.
I've just noticed something taz3611, those Dura-Ace chainsets like the one you have look so like R700's like mine0 -

It's a very poor photo, looks very very amateur
Hmmm well since when was I a Professional Photographer? Allot of your photo's also look very poor and very very amateur too but you don't see me saying it.0 -

I prefer a more open chainset myself (a la Campag) but got this one for a great price so had to buy it.0 -

Honestly, you're such a snobbish tw@t!
Some bushes and an oil tank in the background... oh that's really shyte now... Some of your images appear to be really crap with the same flaws in them. If you are going to link to a flicker account at least make sure all your images are perfect when you make stuff up like that.0 -
Yea it is.
Well it's not the same Aether I bought as most of it has being replaced, seat is crap had to endure it for a 146mile bike ride.
It's ok, as long as it stays together it's worth the money.0 -
Why transfer everything onto the aether, so just a frame swap? The frame wont be much a upgrade on its own.0

Attention to detail is key to a tidy bike imo.0 -
The blue tape looks fine too..0

Here is my new pride and joy, my first road bike I picked up second hand.
I love her to bits.
Pretty sure I followed all of the rules set out by NapoleonD (except the white background, I actually don't own any whole section of white wall)...0 -

Just put this 2009 Condor Acciaio together:
Nearly finished. If I could find another Elite Ciussi Inox cage in silver (and NOT in the infuriating Ti-coloured grey that is all too easy to find) I'd be very happy indeed. I'll trim the steerer when absolutely sure about that. Otherwise, that's me sorted.
Meanwhile my beloved Pacer has sprouted a rack, mudguards, a bell and Pitlocks.
More, er, formal photos in due course...0 -

Nice bikes. Just out of interest is that an Aliante saddle on the Trek? I see you have a Toupe on the Spesh. How do you get on with both saddles? I'm trying an Aliante instead of my Toupe just now. Toupe just a tad on the firm side for longer runs. Can't make my mind up if I need a cut out though....0
