i deserve an ocp award for not obaying any of the laws and getting a pond in the shot0 -
Well, I've finally finished building up my shiny new Bottecchia 8avio - apart from the unavoidable and entirely predictable tinkering that is bound to happen over the next few years.
As it is, wow. What a ride. Pretty similar in fit to my current Spesh Allez, except the drops are far more usable, it's far more responsive, far stiffer, about half the weight and a bit more stretched out. It's all resulted in a bloody quick but comfortable ride.
Compact Sram Rival 2009 groupset (34/50 & 11/23), FSA bars, FSA carbon seat pin, Charge Knife saddle, Reyolds Alta Race from my old bike and some whizzy carbon bottle holders bought when I was drunk and my guard was down
I'd love some aeros for it, but can't justify it. Or can I...
As it is, it comes in at 7.6kg.

Didn't take the photo so didn't check to see if I followed the "rules".
This used to be my commuter/courier bike. Disc wheel now removed and put on my current courier bike.
Check out the extreme bar tape. (Still not finished).
Doing a custom paint job in a couple of weeks so i'll post another pic when it's done.

Are those bananas under the bar tape or is it just ridiculously thick?0 -
It's double-sided foam tape with some electrical tape on top. At some point, i'm going to stick some "normal" bar tape over the top to finish it off. Very, very, very comfortable.0

Words fail me.... and is that a bottle cage zip tied to your top tube ? :roll:0

Heres my first road bike, I've brought it from eBay for £102.01 (retailed for £379) never been ridden and being two years old as far as I know
Already brought a bike bag & waterbottle setup today from Aldi of all places.
Gotta start somewhere eh
-Oh I forgot, I've gotta go pick it up from wales in the morning, maybe the dude meant never been ridden.. By humans? (cheap welsh jib[no offence intended though] Baaaahahaaa!)
Kind regards,
MajorPayne
I'm a major payne in the rear an so's my saddle! Gotta love the local bike, innit!

Bhima I'd not put normal bar tape over that, I'd remove all that and put some decent bar tape on that is comfy than that, looks awful for the wrists near the hoods, wont even get a good grip on it due to how wide it is.0

I've never, ever been on a ride where I've needed three bottles.0
