take a look on there! It looks a bit dark on there as i used no flash!
The colour is awesome, i love it, it looks a lot lighter in the sun.
When you see one in the flesh you will not be disappointed!
Planning to do some pics at weekend if the sun is out!
That looks really sweet. Think i might have just changed my mind about getting a Reign. Do you know if they are actually going to make enough this year? Also are they doing a frame only option?
Cheers,

My LBS was talking to the rep and they had some flown in (rather than by boat) from the far east as demand was so high!
Think they gonna sell loads, its a great frame/rear shock/fork set up! Massive potential for upgrade!0 -

Fcuk me that is lovely.Looks so good in "the flesh". I have gone from wanting a stumpy elite to enduro and now I think i will get a pitch pro. How much did you spend to upgrade to Juicy 7s?0 -
Here's my Pitch Comp
I picked it up on Tuesday from Evans at the Chill Factor in Manchester
I've changed the pedals to Outland Mags, can't wait to get out on it at the weekend
Only small piccies but you get the idea0 -
Nice!0

The Pitch sounds like just the thing I'm looking for. I love the brown colour too.
I was thinking of buying a Commencal Meta 5.5.3 or having a look at what deals I can find on a Reign.Paul B

i picked up my pitch today cannot wait to ride it tomorrow.
just one thing about it is the pedals are cleat ones on one side the shoes i have got are diadora will they work with my bikes pedals (i'm a noobie to the world of d/h)that is going to hurt in the morning0 -
I'm gonna get a Pitch, but they're not in Bike shops in Norway untill feb/march!
At least I wprk in a bike shop so i'll get a really good deal, and be one of the lucky first to own a pitch pro in Norway0 -
Had my Pitch PRO for 2 weeks now, and have been out 4 times on it now and it just gets better and better, it loves rocky, gnarly trails, it soaks everything up and has given me so much more confidence on stuff that i would normally shy away from!
The bike is really set up for typical UK riding (The Peaks, Wales & Scotland), the Pike up front just feels it can take any abuse you throw at it.0 -
-
its 30.6lb
Turn the pro pedal on and the bob is minimal.
Good thing is when you know you got a big climb coming, turn the pro pedal on and wind the Pikes down to 95mm and lock em out and the things climbs like a HT!0 -

MBUK Say: "Totally sorted, confident handling and long travel suspension with workaholic kit at a great price" - That sounds good to me
They also write that the Pitch (alike other Spech bikes) has got a low bottem bracket height which makes it very stable - me likes0 -
Good review in this months MBR0

Yeh they say its not perfect (but what bike is!)
It is pitched (no pun intended) against a Reign and a Mongoose, i know its very subjective, but they reckon the Pitch deals with 6" abuse the best out of the three!0 -
clarkson wrote:i dont understand the pitch. specialized have marketed it as enduro perfomance for less money. surely this would tempt buyers away from the enduro, therefore putting it in direct competition with the pitch.
but to the point, mbuk had a first ride on one a while a go, i think. other than tht, not sure.
Not everyone can afford £1700 for an Enduro!0 -

just had a ride on a Pitch Pro
the sizing is weird, i found the small a better fit and I'm 5'10"
its a killer bike for the money, I would probably change to grips to ODI Lock-ons, the tires to Maxxis High Roller 2.3"s, put a Stan's No-Tubes tubeless conversion in there and replace the outer chainring with an E13 supercharger bashguard...and go ride.,..check out my riding - www.robcole.co.uk Banshee Factory Team rider, Da Kine UK Team rider, www.freeborn.co.uk www.eshershore.com0 -

Im 6'0 and the medium feels fine for me, already done some upgrades to my Pitch Pro.....Lizard Skins Peaty lock on grips, Avid Juicy 7's with 203mm rotors front and back, SRAM PG990 cassette, PG991 chain and X9 Shifters!0 -
Very nice upgrade Can't wait!!!0

I've been looking at the Pitch Comp in my LBS, he has offerred me a good deal too. Only issue is he only has a large at the moment, so I can try a medium. At 5'11" is the large too big for me?0
-
yes you need a medium, you can always try a large but i think its too big for you0

Review posted on bike radar - rather complimentary of the bike!
I'd better not test ride it as I want to get the Orange 5 and I don't want to like the Spesh as much and start letting money and sensibility factor in my decision.0 -
The 5 is a different beast to the Pitch.
The 5 is a superb trail/AM bike (I love mine), the Pitch is aimed at more extreme versions of AM riding.
The Pitch felt burlier up front (due to the 20mm bolt thru fork) than my 5, but my 5 felt a little more nimble (maybe due to a lighter fork, Fox Float R)
Try em both, then buy Orange0 -
I think i prefer the yellow to the bronze, shame they don't give us the choice. I also think i now prefer the Pitch to the Reign, especially as the complete bike is only £300 more than a Reign frameset! Has anyone on here ridden both, and if so which do you prefer?

Went into my LBS today and had a look and sat on a Pitch.
First impressions are great, very comfy, has a proper I-could-ride-this-all-day feel about it. I see your point about it being more extreme AM but if I'm honest - the riding position felt no different to sitting on a Rockhopper and while it might take the hits, you're not aware that you're riding anything overly extreme.
I've yet to even sit on a 5 but I'm test riding in the new year - to be honest, I just want one, always have done, should probably test it first though lol. I think if I didn't want the 5 so bad and wasn't feeling so frivolous, I'd be buying the pitch Pro, no questions asked.
Now, the looks and that controversial bronze/brown paint job. I'm going to do this in bold for effect - the comp in blue is very nice and all but the pro is quite possibly the single most, bite the back of your hand, beautiful bike I've seen, EVER!
I'm not kidding, I want to buy one just to hang on my wall and look at it - it's that good looking!
Anyone who has a problem with the Brown, just go and look at one in the flesh! If you still don't like it - are you blind!?0 -
-
What size are you and what size bike did you sit on Zero?
Always thought the Orange 5 was an ugly bike0
