He rode for St Piran in 2023. He's been riding for Trinity Racing this season, although I think he's been full time on the Team GB track squad for most of the year. He's also had some issues with chronic fatigue earlier in the season, so had to take time out to recover from that.
He clearly has a big engine, but he hasn't demonstrated an aptitude for road racing yet.

Daniel Benson is reporting that Ineos might be about to agree some kind of partnership with the Team Lotto Kern-Haus PSD Bank development team for next season.

I wonder why they’re not looking at Trinity? Something to do with being based in Europe and the Brexit issues?

We don't know if they explored taking on Trinity or not. But it's a project very much run by Andrew McQuaid and maybe they didn't like the idea of a rider agent being involved, especially because he's also Tom Pidcock's agent.

Good question; a few of their promising riders have gone to the RB-Bora U23 team, including Adrien Boichis. However, they've recently signed some British youngsters, who have been racing some CX.

Ethan Hayter is being reported as saying they need to make changes and they've made things tricky for him this year, even before he decided to leave.

Wurf's interview with Rich Roll suggests that they're just doing all the things that made them winners beforehand and wondering why that doesn't make them winners now.

Wurf is 41 now, I'm assuming he won't be riding for them next year?
His signing in 2020 seemed like a potentially smart move, but it feels like more of an indulgence as time passes surely.

Not renewing Hayter is one of the more sensible things Ineos have done IMHO; for the engine he's clearly got his road results have been disappointing. Often due to poor positioning

Yeah, 2021 & 2022 looked promising but it feels like he doesn't want to be there. It could be that the situation in the team has led to his motivation and / or form dropping off.

Yeah, he was king of the dot pro world for a while then either couldn't make the step up or wasn't given the opportunities.
British champion this year though so there's still something about him.

Wurf seems to be the roster addition of last resort. Got the feeling that some of his obligations this year have cramped his iron man style, but he understands what pays the bills.
Wouldn't be surprised to see him being announced or just appear as a rider early next season.

I was listening to his interview on the Rich Roll podcast, interesting stuff.
As far as I remember, he signed on after Kiryienka was forced to retire with heart issues. Wurf’s basically the big diesel that does lots of work we don’t see. He’s an absolute beast of an athlete.

Some big changes to team structure just announced.
Headlines include splitting structure into 3 (stage racing, 1days, and future talent). Kurt Alse Arvesen being lead DS. And Medhi Kordi being head of performance. Be very interested to see how Kordi works out did a lot of work with Bigham 6-7 years ago and was highly respected with his work with the Dutch sprint squad

The INEOS Grenadiers have announced structure and staff changes ahead of 2025, following a thorough review of the team’s performance operations. Meet the first batch of new Grenadiers, joining the team next season:
Kurt Asle Arvesen - Sport Director
Leonardo Basso - Sport Director
Tom Helleman - Lead Performance Coach
Dr. Mehdi Kordi - Head of Performance Support and Innovation
In addition, Dr. Luca Oggiano takes on the new role of Director of Research and Development.

Maybe they believe putting in a whole new team and effectively sticking up a banner stating 'Under new management' might attract new customers, err I mean riders :-)
Post Pogi world is, I hope, a good 6-8 years away.
I think if he stays fit, and healthy, I don't see him fading away.
I don't think motivation is likely to be an issue for him, as it would appear he loves to ride his bike and to above all race.
One potential I could see, is if it becomes too easy for him, and there is not much in the semblance of competition, and no real challenge - though I expect JV from VLAB will see to that aspect, and I'm sure some other talents will emerge from within the peloton in due course.
The only other potential is if he becomes a parent, and that understandably could divert his attention and focus - having said that, if he and Urska do decide to spawn mini Pogis and Urskas, the cycling world had better watch out 😮

Urska Zygart has just signed a two year deal with AIG Insurance-Soudal, so I imagine the pitter patter of tiny feet in their household is a few years off still.

Isn't he weary because he's just finished a hard season? He must be shattered both physically and mentally after a year like that. I'm sure he'll be back at it in the spring.

Admitting they need a change and apparently taking measures to make one is an important first start. Hopefully it will be more than just lip service.

Re-signing Kurt Asle Arvesen after his time at Uno-X is interesting. On the one hand he was a known quantity - he'd ridden two seasons and DSed five with Sky - but he was effectively kicked out of Uno-X after Hushovd took over from Jens Haugland as general manager. Arvesen and Haugland were very close, and Arvesen had been a little outspoken about the trend in cycling of signing riders earlier and earlier with less focus on development and more on immediate performance. Uno-X went on to disband the dev team (from their website):
Disbanding the development team - focus on junior riders
As a significant part of the restructuring related to elite investment and recruitment, it has been decided to disband the development team, Uno-X Mobility Development Team, after the season. The trend in international cycling in recent years has been towards younger and younger riders excelling at the top level. Many riders are recruited directly from the junior ranks to the biggest teams. For Uno-X, it's important to keep pace with this development, and therefore, the company entered into exciting collaboration agreements with NTG in Norway and Team Cycling Elite in Roskilde, Denmark, related to junior development before this season. Team Uno-X-NTG and Uno-X Carl Ras, Roskilde Junior are already well underway this season. More projects related to junior riders may also be considered in the future.
Reading between the lines (quite possibly over-reading), Hushovd maybe wanted more cash for recruitment to the senior team (trying to make WT 2026) while Haugland/Arvesen wanted to maintain a focus on developing young Norwegian and Danish talent in a less pressurized environment (Arvesen also DSed for the dev team as well as the senior team).
Putting two and two together and coming up with a number somewhere between three and six (might be four, but might be five...), Arvesen may be heavily involved in what Ineos decide to do with their younger riders and whether they decide to invest in a dev team or some form of dev team partnership.
At any rate the signing is a no-brainer, an experienced ex-rider and DS who left them to pursue a passion project who has the talents they need right now and knows how to build stuff. Haugland on twitter calls it "the signing of the year" and he might be right.
Also, the whole restructuring looks very Brailsfordesque. Collect the data, do the review, work out what needs to change, implement. Straight out of the Toyota lean management playbook, probably ran a Kaizen or two.
