This was your question above:
"Yeah but what do you think about Sunak's political ability and ability to arrange and govern things versus Starmers? Forget optics for a moment - do you think he is a more capable PM than Starmer?"
I addressed that point, which clearly wasn't about the election....

He's been leader of the opposition for longer than the last four Conservatives managed to stay as leader of their party. So ample opportunity to fuck up surely.

The SNP?

I was asked to compare their ability to govern...
Although not sure how how you f*** up being in opposition?

Maybe there is a such a thing as a stupid question after all? 🙂

You have a really short memory.

Corbyn?

He's like a robot. Same word for word answer to about seven different questions.

Do you reckon Dominic Scummings still has his access passwords and has hacked the Tories' "to do and how to" files? The Thick Of It scripts would be struggling with some of this fiasco of a 'campaign'.

Official line now seems to be that he always planned to leave halfway through even before he called the election.

Depending on how you look at it he did a really good job - kept Labour in opposition for years 😀

Is that better?

so he planed his contempt far in advance, and he thinks that makes him look better?

Biggest campaign gaffe on the beach since Kinnock.

I'm looking forward to Mordaunt launching her leadership campaign tonight.

Anyone keeping a running total on the Tory policies the Conservative Party need back in to reverse?

they know they're going to lose
these nonsense policies serve only one purpose: so that once out of government they can claim that they would have implemented them, and the gullible will believe it

Why does no-one just stop him and say simply "I'm not interested in the same answer you've already given me X times without answering my simple, direct question. If you won't answer the question I've asked, I'll end the interview." It's just an extraordinary way to conduct interviews.
More Victoria Derbyshire, please - she seems to be the only one who won't accapt this kind of ignorant bullshit.

Don't sugar coat it.

Will they be able to get her to say “the PM is not under a desk” again?
Caused so much mirth last time.

He doesn't expect anyone to watch all of it. It's designed to be chopped up and digested like this:
Saying the same thing over and over means whichever of the answers from the pool interview gets used by each outlet, helps message is the same.
It's interesting to see how it's done though.

What's even more stupid than 'vote for us, we'll reverse our own policies' is that the proposed change just moves the problem further up the pay scale and creates a marginal tax rate of 70% if you happen to have 3 children and earn £120k/year.

£91 billion of easily recouped tax avoidance under the Tories seems quite a lot.

She'd be better keeping her head down until after the election to be honest.

Glad they've made sure those households earning over £100k aren't missing out on their welfare benefits. I was worried about how they would get by.

I genuinely don't understand why they think people won't have noticed they've had 14 years in charge to end anything they perceive as 'unfair'. They are camapigning (and have been governing for years) like they are the opposition. It's utterly bizarre.

I think they've decided that the voters they are trying to retain or persuade are almost dead, very stupid, or utterly deluded. I'd say that they aren't far wrong.

Game over
