Are you left handed?
I was looking into getting some of those cages as the bottle bosses on my frame seem too close together (ie fit bottle in one cage, bottle will only half go in the other) do you think they would work or do they take up the same space as normal ones?0 -

No - right handed but haven't had a problem with the cages.
Not sure if they will work on your bike - they are from Planet X so you could order some and then if they don't work just send them back. I think that they were something ridic like a fiver or so each.
PX also do those slightly smaller than normal cages (but have to be used with the slightly smaller than normal bottles that they also sell) that could solve your problem.

Could I be cheeky and ask if you would measure from the middle of the bottom hole to the bottom of the cage??
The problem on my frame is that the bosses are too low down (rather than the usual too high up on a dwarf frame)!
I know they are only a fiver but I have a garage full of bottles and cages0 -

Measurements in the meantime are:
Full length of cage: 6"
Gap between bottom mounting hole and end of cage: 1.8"

You could just get the holes moved now if that's going to work - one hole will be covered by the cage itself, plug both with a rubber plug of the same colour of the fame and no one will notice the original two holes.
