There is uninterrupted coverage on Eurosport, unfortunately with Kirby. I am going to get the coverage on ES and then have ITV on the laptop for audio...

I was going to go out on my bike after this, but I accidentally bought a nice claret yesterday and I can hear it calling to me. It is likely to get drunk during the stage I think.
Yay! I “accidentally “ found a bottle of cava in the fridge about an hour ago. Got the day off to a great start. In the spirit of the region, now having some saisons (in the sun).

The entire of Direct Energie don't fancy being in the same peloton as Cofidis today and try and jump.

    Already taking his customary position.

And apparently dropped. In the first four km.

    Serious pace in this stage.

I think if I was sky I'd be putting most riders on Thomas, then maybe Moscon or Rowe on Froome.

Given Froome has a saddle sore I cant imagine how hellish this day is going to be!

He's still there. He just rides a couple of metres off the back to mark attacks.

With how poorly Dan Martins numbers are attached it already looks like he's been on the floor!

Millar was saying race radio reported him having been distanced, although he's back on now.

De Gendt has about 15s with 2 Direct Energie, a Lotto NL and an astana

Dan Martin lingering around the back with Craddock. Not an ideal position for either of them

Break have 24", others trying to jump across. If De Gendt hears one of them is Cofidis he'll go solo.

Looks like he's done his collar bone.
    Think spectators were involved too.

Rolf is on the scene, reckons it's over for Porte :-( Gerrans sent off without Richie.

Bad crash with spectators on the deck as well. Porte's shoulder about two inches south of where it should be
