Just arrived - saw Porte clutching his collarbone.

De Gendt in the break in the least surprising move ever

Down before they even hit the cobbles.

That is very sad to see, whether you like Porte or not, horrible way to lose the race after what has happened in the past.

It wasn't seen on screen, but plenty of riders went down.

Not shown it yet. Crash on the right hand side after a left-hander - initial guess is that the peloton swung out to the right and clipped a spectator/group of fans roadside. Took a few riders down, as you'd expect given the pace.

Hope this sticks so we get to see Gaudin absolutely monstering over the cobbles with that daft style
    +1 - and cobbles being dislodged :)

Michael Valgren has also been down, he's riding in rags now.

BMC had been all over the front up to then

The crash has certainly cooled the bunch's ambitions.
Valgren's kit is ripped to bits.
    Greipel was involved too.

GVA possibly lucky not to have got caught up in that.

So...be honest...who frantically changed their PTP to GVA?

The up side for BMC is that they still have TJVG. :P

Rojas was involved too - Landa’s designated bodyguard.

    Abandons as I type this.

Movistar lose Rojas. That's a headache for one of their GC boys.

GVA will be let off the leash, it was noticeable how quick they got Gerrans going after Porte's crash.

BMC on the front, keeping it a little calm for now

They've had a quick pee break, Gerrans is on his way up.

There's still a group of 5 trying to bridge, has Calmajane and Dishy Le Gac, van Riensberg, Edet in it.

Yes, but you'll want to watch the ten minutes before, as the first turn is so nasty it will be bloody dodgy before they get there.

The bunch aren't motoring but there are teams still across the road at the front - no one wants to relax for a minute. Wheel change for Tom D

    He's been deported.
  • Blimey that was a good chase by them 5 - Edet telling my man Calmejane something politely!!

    3 Direct Energie in break

The five bridgees have joined the lead break. Now ten. Four of them are Direct Energie. Sunweb have a guy up the road for Dumoulin.

Tom's had a puncture and changed wheel. They're on discs. Rolf not impressed.

Oh, and he's drafting the Sunweb mini again.
