How about this...

"If you find yourself unable to keep the pace whilst out in a group with your fellow mountain bikers, you should use your front derailleur to transfer your chain to the largest chainring and then exert more force in order to close the gap that has formed between you and the afore mentioned group" Simply put "Stick it in the big ring and get back on the bunch!"

But happily it more than makes up for it with 400nm of torque, compared to say 320nm with Hamish/Dave's Scoobies. [;)]
