The 1000 mile service can be performed between 500-1500 according to Ian Grieve (I got mine done before 1000 as I was off to Wales the next again day and was way past 1500 when I got back). It's basically an oil change.
Just reschedule it for the next weekend. [;)]
11am sounds a decent time to start.
Nick - do you want to get to mine for 9am and we'll try and leave promptly?

I'm going to do a ride in the Trossachs on Saturday; if anyone would like to borrow some Thule bike racks (for square rails) to make sharing lifts any easier let me know - have two in the garage.

Alan? I'd guess that'll be AlanK.
If it is him then you really should bring the scooby, Dave. That way we'd all be travelling with the power of the flat 4.

Does Allan have a proper surname? Or is his name one of those ambiguous 'is it his first name or surname' names. You know, stuff like Stuart David... or Wilson Thomas... or whatever else...

The Cheerful handsome one. That does sound a bit gay, e.g.:
"OOOOOOOOOOOOH! Hello sailor. Aren't you a cheerful handsome chappy?" [:X]
Hence the licking, one would presume. [:p]
