Just got back in - can see tomorrows hangover already :-O

Does this mean my choices are to make the 4 hour roundtrip tomorrw on mine ownsome?

Just back from a super day at Dalbeattie. Very impressed with the trails, if a tad too much fireroad in the later stages.
Was a little disappointed to bottle out of the Slab and Toxic twins, but pleased I made some of the raised shore bits. Glad Derek didnt hurt himself coming off the twins.
Highlight was the Red/Black jumpy parts towards the end, which brought the kid out in us all.

Definitely worth another visit, and soon.

Pretty much echo what Nick said - an excellent ride today and loads of fun sections of the main trail. Managed the slab and the qualifiers which I was pleased about, also managed a bit of North Shore (just!!) that I normally wouldnt do.

Really good day out with a great group and good that Derek made it along after all.

Def need to go back again soon and nail the terrible twins

Yeah, it was good, loving all that grippy granite! Slightly annoyed at my wussyness at some points and would like to go back and try again. Great to see so many girls out too![:X][8D]

Was delighted to clean both the qualifier and the slab and was also happy that I managed to wipe out on the soft bit of ground between the solid granite "terrible twins"!!! [B)]
Sessioning the wee jumpy bit towards the end was great fun too! [;)][:D]

Well I have to say that it was a great day out. The new sections have really improved Dalbeattie. I'd definitely go back.

Vanity aside, good pics Hamish, you got the best angle to shoot the slab, from the bottom! EEK! I had an almost good one of you doing the qualifier but it was a bit dark. Damn.

Was that not on the Terrible Twins Derek? It looked steeper than the slab anyway I thought. Mind you, its always a dead giveaway when the background trees are leaning over!![;)]

Yep, that was on a tricky bit of Black technical/shore towards the end. You would have enjoyed that bit, Moray. Check out the raised log which Dave and Hamish also managed. You cant tell from the photos but it was about 4 feet from the ground.

BTW, any word on the new frame, MC?

Yeah, and even although it was quite wide compared to some of the Ewok stuff I still did my best to almost go over the edge...had a VERY scary moment about 3/4 of the way across and was very relieved to get to the other side in one piece

Derek - the exaggerated angle is the twins. I've got a 'corrected version' which I can Email you if you want.

Dave - I'll Email you the slab one. It's a bit soft.
