Sat 26th Dalbeattie
Is anyone out in Lothians/Borders this weekend coming up? I have to work but can probably set the day depending on when people are out.
I fancy doing GT Black or Inners this weekend without having to rush home so i can try all the extra bits and also go back and try things again. My last couple of rides out I have had to rush round to get back for a certain time[:(]
So...Saturday or Sunday?

Either...or BOTH!![:D]
Like to do Inners.

Inners would be good seeing as we did GT black yesterday.
I was also thinking of trying somewhere else sometime, theres loads of places I have yet to ride, such as:
Dalbeattie, Carron valley, Pitmedden, Ae, etc, etc.

I could be talked into going down to Dalbeattie if someone will share petrol with me, or drive me down and i will give my share of petrol money [:)]. Not interested in doing Ae as GT, Mabie and Inners are all better
I havent been down to dalbeattie for years and it is meant to be pretty good now - much more singletrack. Only done it once before and had a really bad crash, thats when i bought my knee pads.
Dalbeattie anyone?

I'm really hoping I get my new frame this week, and if I do, I'll be out everyday next weekend!

I'd be up for it as long as I didn't have to drive. Would prefer Saturday.[:)]

I would be up for a Dalbeattie trip on the weekend. If Dave doesnt mind driving over in his new Scooby I could meet him early and give him some petrol money.
Stu - I would like a trip to Fort William but I dont think my skills are up to doing the Downhill course just yet.[:I]
I quite fancy the xc course but maybe a trip up there later in the summer and take in Laggan and hopefully Golspie.

Right, I have just dumped some work so I can go out on Saturday.
Dalbeattie or something natural?
So far it looks like we have me, Nick, Saz and possibly Alan. I am hoping to have my new bike roof rack by the weekend so could take up to 3 bikes.

I'm up for Dalbeattie. Have only been there once, a few years ago and was a bit hacked off by the amount of fire road towards the end. If they've improved that then it could be okay. Worth a look.
Anyone else want to share petrol costs?
Stu - I'll be up for a Ft Bill trip at some point but not this weekend. Not terribly sure about taking the stumpy down a DH trail - might it be worth looking at DH hire?

Why dont we see who is all going and then work out car shares etc, I would prefer to just take two bikes.
So far from our end we have me, you, Nick and Saz all going and Alan going from Glasgow. Possibly Stuart and Andy (if he gets his new wheels). I will email AlanK and see if he fancies it.

StuW was talking about hiring a DH bike ... I'll just take the Heckler as I'm too tight to pay œ50 for bike hire. I'm guessing it's that kind of price for a DH bike.
Not sure if we'll go this weekend or not - especially as I don't know any other Edinburglers wanting to go yet, and I'm too tight to pay œ50 for petrol!
Bit of a theme going on in this post!0 -

Hell yeah. I'm definitely up for that again. I'd happily just ride Golspie over and over again, but it'd be rude not to drop by Laggan and walk round Learnie black as well. [;)]

Sadly I need to stay a bit more locally as it's my GFs birthday on Monday and I think she wants to do something on Sat night. Dalbeattie is probably about as far as I'd venture. I also want to keep playing with my Revelations as I'm loving them. I think once I get used to being able to blast over much more stuff than with my old foxes then I'd be more up for DH (prob with a couple of practices as Innerleithen first as well).

I'm not at work. I'm on nights but I got a good night's sleep last night as it was really quiet. In fact all of my nights so far have given me a good night's sleep except from bleeding Sat night when I was up all night and unable to do N3 after clocking off. Typical!!!
Been meaning to change my sig for a while.

I know how quick a scooby can go, but having driven fast cars at work, I know I'd soon loose my license, which is kind of important given my job. Plus the fact I do 20k a year, means something not so fast with good fuel economy suits me better.

Dave, I'd heard on the 'Grapevine' that the speed of a Scooby is wasted on you.
Can this be ture??? [:0][:0][:0][;)]

hahahaha - It has been said that I am maybe not the "fastest" of drivers, I seem to remember Hamish driving us all the way from Wales as he couldnt be bothered with my "slow" driving....which suited me fine
I have sped up a bit since getting this car but my wife gets a lot more use out of the Scooby speed than I do.
Still lots of fun though - even although I am not mega speedy
