As an aside this race is a great advert for the shocking state of the roads in the UK.

From what km-to-go should I watch?

Honest, from the restart after the protest

Surprised at that chase group being apparently happy to fight it out for silver given their palmares

Not sure what else you think they could do.
They never looked like they went all in on the chase but I doubt they’d have caught him (maybe with crash though).

Nearly hit the red and white kerbing.

    Deserved champion!

I wonder how much the protest shaped the race.

Pog looked cooked when he went, couldn't match him on the next climb, and then he outsprints pedersen. Mvdp was gone and there was no catching him.

Probably thinking it worked for the French and Belgians where racing on cr@p roads has become a tradition. Maybe there’ll be a group of volunteers set up to maintain the condition of the potholes

The attack was perfectly timed, just before Bettiol got caught rather than once he was caught which is what usually happens.

Pog! What a racer. Even when he's so obviously dead he still tries! Even against a proper sprinter he still tries! Legend!!

    (Mads also epic)

No surprise that the Cxers did well on that course.

    MvdP a worthy winner!

Did any British riders finish? Only Doull was left by the time I started watching.

That Narvaez crash was crucial, it created the winning break.

    Doull was 18th I think.

51 finishers. I didn’t think there were that many still going.

Riders don’t seem to like the course.

In all honesty, all four of the top four should have a rainbow by the end of their careers, or the world is a bit wrong. Mads P already has one. Just Pog and Wout left.

Oh and Mads P is going to be riding Roubaix on pure anger

Wonder how the watts from that MvDP attack compared with his famous Strade Bianche one. Both massive digs.
