torygraph clickbait for the desperate
for all his failings, i doubt musk is stupid enough to move to the uk and lose the free eu market access
from what i've seen, most of the young in the area of the german plant are happy with it and pro-expansion because of the decent local jobs it brings
the area hasn't much else going for it, without tesla they have to move elsewhere
it's the local nimbys who are the real problem, they'd rather there was no industry at all and are trying to block tesla's expansion, the uk has plenty of the same people, the nutters are exploiting that

A quick google say that Foreign Direct Investment into the UK is currently the second highest in Europe, so not sure that its nearly as bad as you would like.

my likes are my likes
your claim to know something you have no knowledge of shows you to be either delusional or a liar
which are you?

Well Stevo, yeah I think it would be great for the UK if Tesla setup a factory in the UK. The model 2, smaller and cheaper than the 3/Y should be a good seller here in blighty and across the channel. The best selling car in 2023 in Europe was the model Y, carry on down the top ten list though and it's the 206, Corsa, Golf, Yaris, Fiat 500, Clio.
I bet it's also true the vast majority of Germans are over the moon about Giga Berlin employing tens of thousands of people and many more indirect jobs on top of that. I guess there will always be people who have a grievance and it might be valid from their perspective, but as long as the majority are going in same direction.

Given the number of native idiots that like to drive into flood water, and flooded Teslas appear to trap their passengers is that a great idea?

A Tesla/EV would continue through the flood water out of trouble whilst the ICE car would conk out stranded (HELP!), it ain't rocket science RSJ.

Clearly, in the old days, you could just wind down the windows, but what's the difference between a Tesla and a normal modern car? Is it just that the the windows are stronger?

I don't think you can open the doors from the outside once the systems are screwed. So even when it's full of water a rescuer can't get in.

Seems not. Seems like the door locking shorts out and the passenger drowns.

That sounds like a flaw in the design.

How to pollute a brand. Behave like the Muskrat, be a narcissistic, orange shitgibbon supporting bellend.
Were I thinking about an EV, which I'm not, I would have to avoid Tesla due to the association that brand now carries.

Good to hear that you are planning to go car free.
