Mohoric showed the risks you have to take there, used every inch of road.

I assume he got stuck in his biggest gear judging by his cadence in the last couple of KM.

Over drive on the flat bit I think

Not often you see a rider pinpoint exactly where the line is in risk taking

Prepared for it by practising descending using a dropper post! Thinking outside the box - love to hear it.
It just might persuade MvdP to use one on his MTB.

"Stop any cycling fan on the street and ask them to name a good descender and they might mention the likes of Vincenzo Nibali, Peter Sagan, Alejandro Valverde or Julian Alaphilippe.

Cycling hipsters might suggest Matej Mohoric. But for anyone older than a millennial, Sean Kelly's daredevil drop off the Poggio in the 1992 edition of Milan-San Remo will forever remain the reference point for all-out descending "

So MvdP once again beat WvA in a race that isn't a mountain race.

Well yes. The only terrain where WvA is better is a proper mountain. If MvdP ever trained for TTs he'd smash WvA there too.

Bettini was a famous descender. He won MSR with some risky moves. A quote at the time was if you followed Bettini, you could die. 2006 Lombardia in WC jersey was a masterclass. 40 mins on You Tube

How long until the UCI ban dropper posts in road races? 48 hours?

If it was an ineos rider Lapartient would've already started tweeting about it

Some of us don't need to listen as we know that already.

Is this not a golden era? MVDP da man. WVA da man. Bernal da man. Evenapoel da man. Pidcock da man (not today). Roglič da man…
How crazy is it that despite those names, it’s Pogacar who’s referred to as the “generational talent”….?

Yes I lost with WVA on PTP, but won handsomely with Mohoric on Betfair…💪🏽
