O’Connor off the back. Shakes his head.

6hr finish time gives Cav and the stragglers less comfort space - just under 40mins. Is it going to be tight?

OK who's next for the Ineos train to burn off to get Billy Carapaz onto the podium?

Did Rolland really not know the stage finishes down the bottom?

I didnt until today 😶. It is a bit weird for a Ventoux finish....
    Not unheard of.

Mid '90s that big lad won going up and over it.
    That was a great stage.

It's going to happen today too but it's far less enjoyable so far.

I haven't been following closely. How did WvA get in the lead?

    Pedaled harder

I'm not watching and even I can understand what Ineos are trying to do.

Better to have your best rider in 2nd place and cross your fingers that Pogacar will come a cropper than try to come up with an insane plan to explode Pogacar which has just about zero chance of working.

I don't get why racing for 2nd place isn't considered to be an honourable pursuit when surely most pros would want to have a Tour podium on their palmares? If 2nd is the best they can tactically achieve from where they are today, better to achieve that goal surely?

Ineos definitely don't seem to have the firepower to ride everyone off the wheels like previous years. Regretting not bringing Dennis perhaps?
