Van Aert to wait for him and bring him down?

    Bring him down safely?
    Edit: doh! Same team mybad
Don't worry about it. Jumbo Visma have spent the whole tour seemingly falling over each other trying to help.

Just imagine if a team had made Pog work a little earlier in the climb rather than Ineos towing him up on their mountain train.

Why would Pog have needed to work?
I think from about halfway he only had Majka with him. Someone could've attacked, burned Majka off and then Pog would've chased, like he did with Vingegaard?
Who? And why would he chase?

All coming back together because the ASO thought the descent would add to the action.

Any illusion that anyone is riding for first place other than Pog are gone for good otherwise Carapaz and Uran would have been sitting behind him on this descent.

Pride. I dunno, I'm no DS but he chased Vingegaard so he may have also gone after Uran or Carapaz if they'd decided to go early.

Not sure I was in a position to even be able to ride up the Ventoux 2 months after having my appendix out.

The problem is this descent is not remotely technical, so those normally with an advantage can't exploit their skills?

Think Vingagaard got under Pogacar's skin there, to judge by that finish.

Turned out a decent stage though... Plenty of action throughout the day .

    Chapeau Wout.

Fair play to Wee Kenny and Bauke F**king SRAM Mol-LAY-ma for taking it on and trying something.

Heartbroken for Jonas Home Alone Vingegaard that his attack didn't stick and then to get pipped on the line by Pog, Billy Carpets and Duran Duran, shame.
    Correlation is not causation.

    I said early 46 minutes.
Brian Smith said 47 minutes, so no worries.

That was awesome by WvA ... It would have been a crime if he left this tour with no win. ...Connor in 5 mins down ... What's that 3 mins lost to jersey group ?

Well, despite the high pitched excited tones of CK for most of the afternoon that was rubbish. Excellent ride by WVA but yet again the big showpiece stage brings zero GC action.
