I'd put quite a lot of money on Kluge not being caught in the last 250m today.blazing_saddles said:
He's not looking like he's going to be making big gains today, unless he's booked himself in for a late Plat du Jour somewhere nearby.kingstongraham said:Coming up to Kluge's big moment.

Demare's lost a leadout man0

Squeaky bum time.
I'm off. My nerves can't cope. Catch you later.Correlation is not causation.0 -
Does make life easier when key riders are wearing obvious jerseys0
-
Everybody fighting for Cavendish's wheel. Obvious tactic I suppose.0

He's too small to be much use. Most sprinters gave up on that years ago.Lanterne_Rogue said:Everybody fighting for Cavendish's wheel. Obvious tactic I suppose.

Reckon they’ll appeal that?Napoleon, don't be jealous that I've been chatting online with babes all day. Besides, we both know that I'm training to be a cage fighter.0

van der Poel very impressive in the run in there to get his guys in contention, but Cav spotted the fastest wheel and rode it.0

Yup. Even though Merlier was done.RichN95. said:Cavendish might get relegated IMO. He cut up the Alpacin guy
Edit: Looking at the overhead it looked a bit of both

Drifted ever so slightly off his line meaning both Alpecin guys missed a couple of pedal strokes, but he was already past them and disappearing into the distance0

I wondered that. It's like VAR in football. It was Merlier leading out Philipsen and he got squeezed from both sides though.RichN95. said:Cavendish might get relegated IMO. He cut up the Alpacin guy

Didn't think it was that good to be honest, Cav had to jump to the AF train instead.ddraver said:BOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!!!!!
That was was just perfect from QS
(Perfect from AF to be fair too, until the last 50m)
I thought it was much tighter from the front on and that he was counting his chickens celebrating so much but we'll clear on the overhead.
I also thought he might be risking a DQ but the Alpecin rider (Merlier?) was peeling off just as Cav passed him so he didn't impede him (possibly slowed Philpsen a touch though).0 -
Fenix guys tried to muscle him first and shot themselves in the foot imo ..RichN95. said:Cavendish might get relegated IMO. He cut up the Alpacin guy

Both made their way onto the white lines - looked ok to me. Lot of incredibles for the first 6 stages! Great to have the Tour back !0

With all this going on we need them to bring back Phil Liggett so he can go on about "The Missile" like in the good old days.1
