Who benefits today from GVA not just sitting up and going back to the bunch? Other than the sprint teams, obviously.0

Cav got quite badly leaned on there, but what was Colbrelli's problem?Warning No formatter is installed for the format0

I think Cav and Morkov did most of the leaning tbh. Neither went on anything like a straight line. No idea what got Colbrelli wound up though.No_Ta_Doctor said:Cav got quite badly leaned on there, but what was Colbrelli's problem?

Was that the stage where Horner was heavily concussed and had no recollection of riding the rest of the stage?blazing_saddles said:Of course it is a stage remembered for more than the result. There were one or two minor names who had to abandon the race after crashes on those straight, wide roads.
From Eurosport's description at the time:
The fast pace and strong crosswinds made the peloton increasingly nervous and with 50km left to ride a small crash occurred involving a handful of riders, including Kreuziger and Popovych. But it was merely a taster of things to come. 10km later, a huge spill in the peloton brought down more than 20 riders, sending many of them into the ditches on both sides of the tree-lined road.

Yup, totally different to nowadays.0 -
Watching it back (I was on a call, annoyingly), I assume Colbrelli was offering an opinion on the way Bouhanni leant on Cavendish - it caused Colbrelli to hang back initially, I think, as he was sitting on Cavendish and had a grandstand view. In the background there was an apologetic hand from Morkov on Sagan's shoulder at the same time.No_Ta_Doctor said:Cav got quite badly leaned on there, but what was Colbrelli's problem?
For anyone wondering about whether we can extrapolate anything from the intermediate, Cavendish was the only one to remain seated as they crossed the line.1 -

He's not looking like he's going to be making big gains today, unless he's booked himself in for a late Plat du Jour somewhere nearby.kingstongraham said:Coming up to Kluge's big moment.
