The Dannebrog has left the start ramp. Asgreen had high hopes for this stage, maybe not the win but a shot at yellow. Think that ship sailed a while back, but he'll be looking for a good result

Correct, haven't been paying enough attention to notice they're at 90 second intervals except the top 20 at two minute intervals.

Boss just cancelled a meeting that would have been right over the stage end. Result!

Everyone's going to be wearing those stupid hats next year, aren't they?

How the hell can those Super Mario mushroom hats be aero?

I'll stick to my £40 Kask Bambino-alike Carnac TT helmet from PX, definitely faster than my standard Giro Savant.

Thomas looked very ginger in the first few hundred metres. Roglic looked like a bag of spanners, but it turns out to be a fairly quickly moving bag of spanners.

It's not that they're spinning out - 90rpm with a a standard 53-11 is 54.6 kph - but having a big front ring means you can keep in the middle of the block at the back which is a straighter chainline and more efficient.
