Yes, have been watching the covid death league table for a few months now. Italy were a long way behind UK a couple of months back but have been gaining rapidly, now within 5-600 deaths.tailwindhome said:Nice that the two European countries with the most disastrous pandemic response made the final.
Russia recently though have thrashed us both!0 -

They should have installed sofas as a safety measure. I'm sure there's a sale on at DFS.0 -
I contentiously objected by not watching, nobody else did though.womack said:

if we are chasing the game we will be faced with a packed defence and Foden has more experience at unpicking them.skyblueamateur said:
How many times did Grealish give the ball away yesterday and allow the Danes to counter? Do that against Italy and we'll punished.Ben6899 said:Sterling's performance last night was as good as you'll see.
Grealish' inclusion does change the shape, but he buys sooo much time and is so clever with the ball. Fantastic substitute option to change things up.
There's no harm in having great/your best players on the bench, to come on and frighten the life out of the opposition with their ability and fresh legs. Sven, Capello, McLaren didn't realise this... man, that midfield vs Germany in 2010.
Bring him on if a goal down and chasing the game but otherwise I'd take Foden ahead of him everytime. A much classier and clever player.
I imagine Grealish was subbed for not following orders and will not be seen again0 -
fun fact - Grealish and I have scored the same number of goals for EnglandBen6899 said:skyblueamateur said:England will beat Italy as long as Grealish doesn't get on the pitch.
Lost the ball on quite a few occasions and failed to track back allowing the Danes to counter attack. Italy will punish that.
Is too much of a luxury. Foden controls the game better.
Grealish hat-trick.1 -
Could well be. Southgate appears to be doing his best to keep Grealish happy. Looks problematic to manage unless he has star billing and not sure how likeable he is within the squad.surrey_commuter said:

I mean it's possible but from the outside he looks to be mates with the others and he's shown no petulance on his social media - no sulking or radio silence.seanoconn said:

How come Rice was allowed to switch, I thought in football once you played for the senior team there was no going backskyblueamateur said:

Some of his tweets didn't age well but too be fair to him he was a kid at the time.0 -
I think the rules have recently changed, to the best of my knowledge you can now switch even if you played three games for a country. I may be wrong on that as don't take a lot of notice nowadays.surrey_commuter said:

The rule I dislike is the schooling / residency five year rule. All the big academy clubs in Spain / England etc pick up all these promising African kids at an early age and then become eligible to play for Spain / England / Italy etc thus the best talent for these developing football nations is lost to the more established footballing countries.
These countries thus don't stand much chance of breaking into the "big time" and we end up with a self perpetuing situation rather like in European Club football where the teams reaching the latter stages of competitions becomes repetitive and predictable.

There are a few players who grew up in England and chose to play for another country e.g. Iwobi. Then players Almunia said they would play for England as there was no chance of selection for Spain.0

There's a small part of me that thinks England should be thrown from the tournament after the laser pointer, and the identity of the scrote who shone it publicly revealed.0

I'd be fully supportive of the second suggestion.Jezyboy said:There's a small part of me that thinks England should be thrown from the tournament after the laser pointer, and the identity of the scrote who shone it publicly revealed.
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.

16 months 'fans' have been whining about not being allowed in to football grounds and as soon as they are given the chance, they can't behave.

Remember England trying to get Adnan Januzaj down the residency route. Also they were recently in a tug of war with Germany over the boy, Musala is him name? Born in Germany to German parents but has been on the books of a club here (Chelsea?) for many years.
This is an interesting video, players who could have played for Angola, would have been a not bad team!

Musiala came here as a young lad with his family and his dad does have British citizenship so if he had chosen England I don't think it would have been unfair. I mean is it unfair Mo Farah runs for GB, Wiggins rode for GB ?
There's always been a minimum age of 16 to move here for football and it's now 18. I do agree that it's potentially a problem but don't think England have ever been guilty of/benefitted from it.

I'm not sure that is true. Almunia was eligible and he moved much later than 18.DeVlaeminck said:Musiala came here as a young lad with his family and his dad does have British citizenship so if he had chosen England I don't think it would have been unfair.
