I wonder which big Dutch cheese will win today?

Girls go Live with 45km to go.

Single attacker up the road with a fluctuating 20 - 30s

Is this a deliberate change in the timing of the women's races or is it just getting more coverage
They have all had pretty decent live coverage. Some, like Brabantse Pijl had much more of the women's race than the men's.
Seems they have two time slots: early morning starts, as with recent races, or the prime afternoon slots, with Flandersclassics. The latter meant the men's races being shifted to early finishes, so personally, I wasn't a fan.

I wonder which big Dutch cheese will win the women's race, today?

    11 to go

AvV goes but doesnt make it stick. Seems to be hella windy.

    Vos & CUL dropped though.

AvV in front with AvdB and ELB. KN getting back on

    Where is Vos?

Enter the lovely Liege outskirts. Really a beautiful town 😐

Vos out of it. AvdB in full TT mode dragging the front group. SD worx in full control.

Have to admit I'm struggling to decide who I want to lose the least

SD Worx pull it off with Demi Vollering

First WT win but classy it was not. She will not care of course...

    Headwind.
By my rough reckoning they are averaging about 38kph now.

So everyone rides to the last climb? Bit disappointing .. they turned into the headwind on the way back ?

I think the opposite – a classy win for Vollering and for Sram Worx as a team, while van der Breggen showed her class as team captain and team member. It had been suspected vdB would work for Vollering, esp after Vollering's work in Fleche Wallonne, and it was clear, that was how it was to be, the last 12 kms or so.

That'll be after the potential winners are filtered out on the Redoute, I'd think?

Heard that Jumbo are anticipating that Quick-Step and Ineos will try to 'filter things out' before the Redoute (as was apparently Quick-Step's plan A last year, until Alaphilippe had a fall on the Wanne, and they went to plan B ). Maybe on the newly-introduced climb prior to Redoute?

Supplies were from a Belgian charcuterie, run by a cycling fan from Liege. Authenticity a premium

La Chouffe and Rochefort are the local beers he says
