Seem to remember him finishing ahead of all but 3 of the top 10, but I might be mistaken.kingstongraham said:
Get yourself a new thread if you want to revel in the zero seconds he took on GC today.No_Ta_Doctor said:Sorry, I'm only talking about Vingegaard today.

We're in danger of confusing passion with incompetence

I'm not saying they have done nothing - Radar Love, Venus, Hocus Pocus, Lethal Industry, Animals, (they're all Dutch). Adolphe Sax for the Belgians. Soulwax as Too Many DJsorraloon said:Ca plane pour toi?
But compared to the rest of Europe, including the classical days, they've not brought much to the table.Twitter: @RichN950 -
I have already had this on repeat about 20 times and shared it with pretty much everyone in my phone.ddraver said:Never knew you could sing Rick...
(Please note the Tommeke “wat doe je nu” reference - this is just another chapter in the rich history of ironically horrendous superfan songs for Flemish cycling superstars)0 -

The post I quoted literally said "Ca plane pour moi" . I assumed that this was seen as Belgium's greatest track.webboo said:

Opps. I missed that. Back in the day when I thought of myself as a bit of hard core punk I couldn’t stand old Plastic or who ever sang it. Nowadays it seems not that bad.
Getting old f*ck the fire goes out.0 -
There is a reason for this, and it's nothing to do with music.RichN95. said:To think that the UK get Null Points at Eurovision.
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.

There was a really interesting analysis of successful Eurovision songs recently. The main conclusion was that British entries were almost laser-guidedly targeting last spot.0

The rest of Europe know Britain can do so much better. The UK is the centre of European pop music. They send their stars and we do the equivalent of Ineos turning up to the Tour with Cameron Wurf as their GC rider.Twitter: @RichN951 -

It's more than that. UK persists in using the major key (4 wins in twenty years iirc), the song structures they've been using don't impress listeners etc. Basically the UK is writing Eurovision songs for the 1990s.RichN95. said:Lanterne_Rogue said:There was a really interesting analysis of successful Eurovision songs recently. Seems a bit unfair to Wout to make him ride through those flames. I usually complain about the smoke canisters.😀0
