Is it possible that Chris Froome has quietly retired?

He was racing Rwanda at the end of Feb, and is down to race Romandie (according to PCS) so think he may have just had a long break

Froome has done that same amount of race days as Jonas Vingegaard so far this season, and one less than Tadej Pogacar.

He was never really one for the Classics.
That said I hope he is enjoying his run down to retirement.
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.

    How would anyone know?

Napoleon, don't be jealous that I've been chatting online with babes all day. Besides, we both know that I'm training to be a cage fighter.

Probably because there's a story about him being in Africa on cycling news or somewhere similar

Honestly, it’s really sad how the accident has set him back. Really feel for him.

Selfishly also feel we lost a more romantic passing of the torch from Froome to Vingers and Pog

Hadn't realised the cat was the cat of a minister.

Someone brought a cat into my wifes vet practice which had been shot by an air rifle a week or two ago. While the cat didn't die, it was as if it had been hit by a bullet - went through the skin and did a lot of damage

Wasn't the cat in the above story, the mayor's?

What's he done during his suspension, that doesn't meet their requirements? Doesn't sound good.....

Probably not for the thread but there is always the question in any job, but especially for sports people, is whether actions in your private life, which are dealt with by the authorities, should have an impact on your job?

makes sense. Never mind animal rights, just take the paycheck from a regime that's not even concerned with Human rights.

Must've transgressed somehow in addition to his cat shooting incident.

GvA is retiring at the end of the year. Probably doesn't have a career in punditry, judging by his interviews.

Good rider though. Took him a long time to get where he needed but did end up winning olympic gold and PR.

When he was rider Sean Kelly was so taciturn he'd just nod in radio interviews.

Does that mean they will start wearing the cycling kit that Lidl produce - Crane perhaps, or maybe that's Aldi's brand.
