Not often that an England win makes me smile.
    And then there was one.

Good game with both sides willing to play at pace.

One of the Scotland forwards got a blood injury before the anthems. 🤔
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.

Two minutes to go, points required, kick it away. It is the Scotland way. 🤣

Scottish scrum half must be feeling terrible. Should never have put himself in the position to be charged down when they'd just fought so hard to get back on terms.

Well this Ireland v England game has been rubbish so far. Didn't see the Scotland v Italy match but conceding close to 50 points per game has to cast doubts on Italy's presence in the tournament. It must be time for relegation / promotion if only to give another team chance to play at the top international level every other year.

As I say that Ireland finally put together a really high quality team try.

Ireland get a ridiculous red card.
How low do you have to be to have the benefit of mitigation?
Billy V was almost on his knees.

    England immediately strike back.

There was one angle where it looked bad I guess. Red was harsh there but players know refs are red hot on it (swidt?)

Clear red under the guidleines and not at all harsh given the current situation. Billy V wasn't very low.
Ireland have however handed England their backsides.
And another incompetent French ref, not that he has impacted the result, and Ireland deserved winners.

Something of a headache for Judy Gatland and his Lions selection given how inconsistent all the teams performances have been.

Jones has some big questions to answer. We're going backwards fast. Still fancy us to beat almost anyone on our day but the poor performances are becoming more frequent.

When you think England were lucky to beat France...Eddie must be rather worried...

Record points against in the Chamionship for England.
First time since 1976 they have lost to all of Ireland, Scotland and Wales in the same season.
Eddie's madness is coming back to haunt him and picking his favourites no matter what form, and making the same subs is poor management.

Well done Ireland, thoroughly deserved win.

Yes, it was a red. A bit like the Scotland one against Wales, the player couldn't have done much more (static, knees bent and crouched) but ultimately his shoulder made contact with the head. Did Vunipola dip? Slightly and some refs may have mitigated it but they have been very consistent throughout the tournament in applying the law and are obviously under the spotlight on it.

England's discipline terrible yet again and it was only the late yellow and subsequent try that stopped them being outscored with the benefit of an extra man. Jones has to go surely? The team's discipline has been terrible throughout the tournament and his answer is just to blame the media for criticising them. They also don't seem to have much idea of how they want to play. Jones was being interviewed on Radio 5 the other night and was getting pissy about questioned on that suggesting you adapt to the team you are playing. I get that to an extent but you also need to dictate how the other team has to play.

I think there is growing pressure to get rid of Jones.

Really sad to hear that CJ Stander was just another international mercenary - moving back to his true home in SA at end of season. He's been great for Ireland, but I really hate mercenaries getting capped. Make Ireland your permanent home if you want to play for them. He's not the only one - Rikey Flutey was another who stole the opportunity for international recognition from an English player.

Had half a team of them in Wales in the Henry years.

I have no issue if they serve their residency qualification and then continue to live in the country post career. F'ing off as soon as you retire is just plain wrong and devalues the jersey and insults those who miss out as a result.

    Big one up next!

Yeah, I'm not sure how many have stayed though. Howarth went back to NZ (I was amazed looking on Wiki how few caps he got), Jones-Hughes was shipped in specifically to play for Wales and only got 3 caps, not sure about Peter Rogers.

    That's bad.
Take Italy out and that's twice bottom in the last four tournaments.

Eddie needs to pack his bags and head back down under.

You rather ignore the championship win and the world cup final in between those 4 years there...

That World Cup final is the only thing that has kept him in the job.

The big problem with him is he tries to blame the media for their defeats and, as Matt Dawson put it the other day, he is in danger of annoying the supporters by suggesting they don't understand the game enough to criticise.

    I can't watch.
Too stressful and not very hopeful.
Just keeping an eye on the score which does seem to be............ticking over.

Nice to see both teams happy with the refereeing.
