Excellent game. It's nice to see Wales coming onto the ball with pace which is something I spent years screaming for under Gatland. What's concerning is that France are level with very few opportunities, they really are dangerous. Slight concern with the scrum too, it's odd to be so solid on your own ball but come under pressure on the opposition ball. Luke Pearce is really helping dictate the pace of the game, best referee out there now.

Comes down to mistakes for me. The Welsh look the stronger but any mistakes will be punished. No mistakes, grand slam.

Best Welsh performance for a long time, but very lucky with the third try as there was a French hand under the ball throughout.

It's Wales's slam to lose now.
10 points up with 21 minutes to go.
Can someone shoot Butler and Jiffy though?

    French no 5 red carded.
3rd one in favour of Wales....

Wales gave away 3 penalties in the movement, and on a warning.

So you’d excuse the fingers in the eye then?

No, it's a red under the laws, but Wales should have had a yellow too - offside, neck roll, not rolling away, all in the move.

They weren't warned till after the "try".
Let's see. Who saw a Welsh grand slam coming during that first game in Dublin?
I'll be very surprised if even the most ardent of Welsh fans did.

Looks like the French had possibly scored, but not reviewed.
Yet another penalty against wales in the red zone.

    Wow!
    What an ending!

    Devastating for Wales.
AWJ was out on his feet for the last 10 minutes.
Wales's ill discipline catches them out, and their luck runs out.

How many times did Wales hold the French up over the line?

Still the best Wales have played for a long time.

Poor substitutions cost that. There's times where changing by the clock isn't appropriate and today was one of them. Some very poor kicking in the second half put them under pressure when the high kicks had been a good tactic. That cost them tries due to the pressure it out them back under. Not sure what Liam Williams did to get his yellow.

Cumulative penalties and LW dived off his feet to kill French ball.

That final penalty annoyed me. They were doing exactly the right thing with little pick and drives and AWJ just flopped over the top for no reason. It probably only needed two more phases. Now I know how it feels to be a Scotland rugby fan

    Ah well, there you go.
Still a triple crown and whatnot.

France now know what they have to do: score 4 tries and 20 points more than Scotland.
The post match panel think that the red card was spot on and that Wales should have had a penalty try.
So yes, Wales luck definitely ran out.

I don't think AWJ had the energy left to stay on his feet in the dying minutes. We was walking everywhere and struggling to get onside.

It was an odd game throughout as Wales probably played the best hour of rugby I've seen from them in years but France kept in touch whilst living on scraps. Taking Biggar off was a mistake to me, he was controlling the game really well.
