I suspect those that can will head off to play in England or France even if it means no more international caps. The WRU are an absolute shambles and all their attention at the moment seems to be directed towards virtue signalling in the wake of the recent scandal.blazing_saddles said:It’s looking increasingly likely that England will get a bonus point win in the next round, without taking the field.
The Welsh squad walked out of a WRU sponsorship dinner, last night, which was being held at the WRU owned Parkgate Hotel in Cardiff.
Expecting contracted players to accept a 20% pay cut in the current economic climate, while splashing out on such frivolous investments is bound to create a climate of resentment, no?
That said I’m not sure many of the current squad are worth their salary even with a 20% cut.0 -
Jonathan Davies seems to have all the answers, given he's given so much airtime with his slovenly pontifications.
Get him to polish his boots up and get him on the field, he'd be epic.0 -

In the biggest rugby match this month Pontypool beat their main title rivals, Neath, away from home to increase their lead at the top and maintain their 100% win rate although it was the first match this season where they failed to get a try BP (only scored 3).0

The problem with these reports is the lack of detail they give on what I assume was several days of evidence. I assume there was plenty of evidence to suggest the tackle was reckless and not just a part of the game despite it not getting penalised. I hope that was the case as otherwise it really does set a precedent that could seriously impact the sport.ddraver said:Beware the law of unintended consequences... 🫣

Agreed that the report is severely lacking. No context.Pross said:

And no other side of the story although possibly for good reason. The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.

The more I see of Italy the more I’m anticipating a Welsh whitewash in this tournament.
That should be a yellow card against Ireland.0 -
Ireland taking the shot at goal shows how much of a challenge Italy have become.0
-
Italy have been great for 70 minutes so far.
Ireland very lucky not to get a penalty and yellow just now on their own line for killing / slowing down illegally.0 -
That’s twice Ireland have dummied a scrum feed causing a collapse but winning a penalty0
-
Think, as usual, the higher ranked team got the decisions from the ref. Quite a few Irish penalties should have been the other way.Pross said:That’s twice Ireland have dummied a scrum feed causing a collapse but winning a penalty
At least Italy don't go down wondering.
Now for what is likely to be a turgid, tense affair.0 -
How far forward was that final pass (and the first one in the move)!0
-
Of all the times to pick to actually run with the ball why do it with a shot at goal available. No rugby brains on the field for Wales.0
-
Feels a bit pointless picking a new back line if you’re going to kick the ball away every time you get possession.0
-
Breakdown at is terrible, so slow getting anyone there. Tshiunza needs to move to lock and get someone else into the back row.0
-
Why is AWJ just standing behind the ruck instead of going through. Drives me fucking nuts0

No idea how Wales are only 5 points behind, though two good sets at the end from Wales, even though there was a huge forward pass in the half break for the last one.
Random Reynard as usual but for both sides.0 -
Don’t think we’re playing forward passes in this game. Two in the England try, first one may have been the tackler knocking it but the final one started at the end of one stripe on the grass and landed at the end of the next one. Not convinced the hands were pointing backwards either.Dorset_Boy said:No idea how Wales are only 5 points behind, though two good sets at the end from Wales, even though there was a huge forward pass in the half break for the last one.

Wales are just slow in every facet of play though. The couple of times the ball has moved quickly they’ve looked dangerous.0 -
Nice pass 🤣0

They keep criticising kicking to Stewart which sort of ignores his positioning is brilliant. The problem is kicking without being able to challenge.1

Farrell's doing his best to get Smith as first pick. 😉The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.

Terrible game between one bad side and one really bad side.1
