    Bora also out of G-W

No Bora as well. Ready to start but banned from racing by the race organization.

Deemed the infection that took them out of E3 as too close a contact and needed quarantine.
Napoleon, don't be jealous that I've been chatting online with babes all day. Besides, we both know that I'm training to be a cage fighter.

Have Bora been pulled out, possibly against their wishes?

Nevertheless we have a very interesting race developing in the crosswinds.
4 riders have 2 and a half minutes lead over another group of +20 riders, who have a minute on the peloton.
Only Sam Bennett has made it for DQS, but WVA, Matthews, Trentin, Cobrelli, Kung, Nizzolo and Mezgec and several other names are there too.

Can't see it staying like that, DQS will want numbers and the others up front won't be keen on having Bennett along for the ride. Will make the tactics interesting later if it does though.

I notice Cholet Pays de Loire is on later too. I watched that live once without realising, I was staying with a family in our nearby twin town and they took me to see what I assumed would be a local bike race. I was slightly surprised to then see a load of team cars I knew coming through.

Yes and it'll come in handy next week, when there isn't much in the way of racing.
Kind of ironic that it goes ahead, but Paris-Roubaix might not. #Covidlottery

Gap between the group van Aert and peloton already 2 minutes.

    Plus, non-shock of the day:

The peloton, meanwhile, has begun to fragment all over again. Sep Vanmarcke is reportedly among those caught out.

I guess that, on his own, Bennett will get worked over and be left to chase attacks.

    Answer:
He was trying to out-farce the French rugby team. Blew himself up.

DQS caught out for once. Lampaert forced to chase solo and tow some deadwood with him.
    Group 3 struggling.
    However Sam Bennett looking good.

The second and third groups merging really worked in favour of the (then) lead group. Before that I thought Group 2 might catch them but then that group became too big and most stopped working.

Bennett looking very good, WVA the only person with a team mate up front though.

Amador didn't look too good when he got dropped off Group 4, top fully unzipped when others are still wearing arm warmers.

Ineos now trying to work in Group 2 but a lot of others not doing their bit. Still close enough that the front group can't mess around too much.

You would think that group 2 would be making inroads as there are a few teams with two riders in there but actually losing time. Front group working surprisingly well, possibly as they are all decent sprinters.
