4.2 by my reckoning. ‘Marginal gains’ and all that.blazing_saddles said:
How many watts/grand did you gain?

You should try a bike from the 3 grand ( ish ) bracket, then compare it to a ‘Super bike’, with real numbers / stats, then see what you think.pblakeney said:
Only a deluded mug would think a £12k bike will be faster than a £3k bike.

I agree ^^^^^ this very well could be.Pross said:This could be the saddest thread ever posted in Pro Race.

Seems WVA can't wait to ditch his Bianchi.

Errr no, he’s been given the new team sponsor’s rig to try out. I guarantee he’ll think it’s shite in comparison.andyp said:Seems WVA can't wait to ditch his Bianchi.

Guarantee?

He probably rides a Stevens painted up in the colours of his current team.1

Do you know anything about pro cycling? Riders don't just get to fully painted team bikes for the next year to try out. That's not how it works.brundonbianchi said:

The whole team we'ren't happy about the bike situation this year with the excess weight etc.0 -
It’s a good job they had the option of lightening it up with the black paint job and Corima rims then. The team were dominant in all the GTs they stayed in. That’s because it’s not all down to purely the weight, how the bike feels and handles counts for a lot more. There were no ‘complaints from the riders’ that’s utter nonsense.50x11 said:

How do you know.0

On the one hand one should not feed the troll but seriously, what deluded nonsense.0

It's weird, back a few weeks they were riding them as they were the best bikes around now they've moved to Cervelo it's just a sponsorship deal thing (which was what sane people were saying about them riding Bianchi).
Someone is very keen to justify their ridiculously expensive purchase1 -
Haha, I've never witnessed someone so insecure in a purchase of a bike. Just because you love your bike doesn't mean everyone else has to.brundonbianchi said:

If Lotto Jumbo carry on winning next season, does this mean that a Cervelo "feels and handles" as well as a Bianchi?brundonbianchi said:

The more important question is why did they feel the need to change?joe_totale-2 said:

Can't be Bianchi's decision. You wouldn't choose to move from Jumbo to Greenedge. The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.Veronese68 wrote:PB is the most sensible person on here.0 -

Don’t bike sponsors have to pay as well as providing the bikes.0

Yes they do. I was assuming cash is less of a problem for a winning team like Jumbo.webboo said:Don’t bike sponsors have to pay as well as providing the bikes.

Most of the extra budget for the big riders like Tom is coming out of the personal pocket of the owner of Jumbo, so I wouldn't be so sure.pblakeney said:

Assuming Jumbo don't want to lose then the conclusion would be that the cash benefit outweighs any drop in bike performance. The bikes are largely similar. Who'd have thought? 😉rick_chasey said:
