First blood!0

Woakes looks very very good this morning. So does Broad tbf.0
-
Looking much more promising0
-
Seem to be beating the edge every other ball here!
Just need it to stick... Please please please...1 -
And hitting the pads of the other balls0

I think batters should review all lbws, but he should have walked for that one. Both openers gone.0
-
Khawaja gone! Woakes again.0
-
I don't understand what Khawaja was doing wasting that review, he did it in the last innings too - it's just screwing over the rest of his team. He reviewed so quick you thought he must've hit it because it was completely plumb. Dozy waste of a review IMO.TheBigBean said:I think batters should review all lbws, but he shouldn't walked for that one. Both openers gone.

Stupid decision. It was so obviously out and he would have known it. I don't know why the batting partner doesn't intervene in cases like that and tell them not to waste a review.0 -
Lots of talk about how much newer the replacement ball looked. Maybe it was the one they used in the Aussie first innings when Khawaja was batting.0
-
I don't remember a team running out of batting reviews though.0
-
It's a different day today, eh?0
-
They would if they all did what Khawaja did - most batters have more sense than that, and only review when they've actually hit it...TheBigBean said:I don't remember a team running out of batting reviews though.
He reviewed so fast his partner wouldn't have had any time to advise on height, line etc. which is what they usually do.0 -
Not usually enough for lbws for it. Also, if one of them is umpire's call, then they retain the review.bobmcstuff said:

WinViz has England 77%, Google 54% (to 28%, rest draw)
I probably feel less confident than either0 -
They had one of those yesterday as well.TheBigBean said:

Breaking news! "The ball is important in cricket" according to TMS.
I'm shocked. Shocked and amazed by that revelation.0 -
Woody in on the act now0
-
Conditions seem to be the main difference though, even with a proper new ball they didn't get much going yesterday.TheBigBean said:

Just seen the Khawaja LBW, I can only think that he thought it was outside leg?0
-
Need Wood and Woakes back on. Broad was looking good but Anderson isn't.0
-
Although Anderson did get a lot of movement just then0
-
Well, they had a new ball at the start of the innings.TheBigBean said:

Ali beat the inside of the bat, lucky not to chop on there.
Broad's beat the bat about a dozen times as well, we just need some luck!0 -
Ali is getting a lot of turn... I would bring Root on as well if it turns this much!0
-
WinViz still says 53% to England but I think it's way less than that. Google 55% to Australia, which feels a lot closer to me.0
-
Oh Stokes 🥺0
-
Yeah very unfortunate there really. Gutted!0
