Yeah very unfortunate there really. Gutted!

It's not unfortunate. Catch the ball and hold on to it.

Looks to me like the momentum of his arm as he lands and looks to balance. Unfortunate for me. Rain looks to be set in for a while from the text commentaries.

That catch sums up the series to me.

That catch sums up the series to me.

He just banged his hand on his knee and dislodged the ball. Shame, but I don't think he was looking to celebrate by throwing the ball up too early.

Those Aussies who thought Starc made that catch are undoubtedly outraged again.

England win is now feeling like the least likely result.

    in what way?

he banged his own hand against his own leg, imo that is stupid rather than unfortunate

I stand by it being the motion of keeping balance initially.

    52 overs to bowl.

Need to get Wickets quick otherwise it's a fairly easy run chase (in theory at least)

They will keep playing the overs - there's at least 4 hours left to bowl (unless the wickets fall)

If they bat for another 40 overs they've won, surely.

what if we are in danger of losing and we refuse to bowl spin only, surely they would call time?

with Wood and Ali injured the burden on the others will be too great and the Aussies woun't need more than about 30 overs. If I was them I would want the target down to about 75 by the new ball.

47 overs and not 52 apparently. Still don't see it taking that many if hey carry on like this

That Stokes dropped catch shouldn't have cost a review - the review was only on whether he hit it, which he did.

England called for the review for a wicket. It was not out, lose the review. It reviews the totality of the process. Stokes shouldn't have reviewed knowing he had not maintained control.

I don't know what they will do in that situation. Ali and Woakes have looked the most like taking wickets, and I would have brought Root on anyway as he seems to have a bit of a golden arm at the moment. So bowling Ali and Root probably isn't the end of the world.

I think Australia will win by then anyway tbh.

Stokes should have looked less guilty when he dropped the ball.
