Wood could have some fun if they get that far.

Stokes gone for 51 . . . new ball incoming

Weirdly still not! Think they are worried about the extra ball speed.

Reckon when they get into the tail they might take it. But Woakes can still hit it.

It just drizzled a bit but we were in sunshine, just caught the edge of a passing shower

The ball is still moving quite a bit which is good news for when we are bowling - particularly with these overheads

So negative by the Aussies, we're facing the consequences of throwing away both of the first two Tests here and allowing the Aussies to play for the draw (on the morning of day 3!!).

I really hope there’s time to get a sufficient lead and skittle most of the Aussies before the rain disruption.

Well if it keeps moving like that Hazelwood delivery to Woakes we will have them out very quickly...

I think there will be enough time for a result. Tomorrow we might be lucky but I reckon we will have a more or less full day today.

Theres a couple of periods tomorrow where we should get some overs in (and it will be miserable batting conditions then too).

The decision to delay the new ball is looking a bit dodgy now (although maybe they didn't want to take wickets too quickly and have to start their second innings!).

They need better punishments for slow over rates. Maybe keep them on till 7.

Barely, it's not going to last - radar suggests a brief shower at most. They've not even brought the hover cover on, just the sheets.

Say it quietly but looking at the rain map forecast now I think there could be quite a lot of play on Sunday.

but could his century end up costing us the match and the Ashes?

Letting him get a sympathy century has cost us an hour and counting

Nah there's going to be plenty of play on Sunday I reckon. The score is getting to the point now where Australia won't be able to chase it and we won't need to bat again.

This is more like Cook/Root captainship than Stokes. This isn't a good thing

Quite ironic how long they are staying out there having gone for the early declaration that may have cost them one of the earlier Tests.

Play will go on till 6.43 cos of that rain stop and the extra 30 mins for slow over rates
