Intrigued by the opportunity to apply to be a magistrate.
    Seriously considering applying.

In Bristol? Maybe dish out some justice to guilty hippies?

From what I can tell on here I think you'd be good at it.

Having heard some of the nonsense some magistrates have come out with, maybe my bar is quite low.

Well, there's a turn up for the books having had a gander and it takes the biscuit. I will nail my colours to the mast and attempt to get a stitch in time to save nine as I don't think these phrases are ready for the knackers yard.
I'd be chuffed to bits if they are reinstated but for now I'll put a sock in it while I go to see a man about a dog. Maybe drop them a line or am I flogging a dead horse?

*You could almost write a short story full of these.
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.

It's the script of the next Guy Ritchey film.

I'd imagine far more people would be familiar with the expression "tow the line".

Funnily enough, I almost posted to say you'd been 'a good egg' (or maybe a good bean) for staying in isolation with your children.

The article has "toe the line" and says a lot of people don't recognise or use it. I wondered if usage of "tow the line" was greater.

"Tow" the line is a simple spelling error, and simply wrong.

People who, rather than simply stop using a forum or cancelling their account, choose to try to get themselves banned (and then rejoin again under a new name). Very odd.

    This is still intriguing me.

It's always about getting some sort of reaction. That's it. Flouncing is just another way of doing it.

Yes it seems to be the next stage when people finally follow your advice and refuse to get drawn into quoting and arguing with trolls.
