I think you will be able to spot plenty if you read back through this thread.

I've not seen any recently, which is why I'm asking. Just wondered if you had something particularly in mind.

Unless they are changing the policy comprehensively, this feels like a waste of time and even more money.

This surely can't be it because it is stupid on a whole new level. If asylum seekers are deemed to have a valid claim, they stay in Rwanda. If they don't, they come back to the UK.

No-one hates the Tories as much as other Tories.

Sounds like you haven't been reading most of the posts on here :)
Laughing at them, not hating them. You have to admit, this is all quite funny.
The bile spewed in here is quite amusing but a little bit sad at the same time :)

Do you not get even a little cross at utter incompetence? After all, it is 'your team' that's going down the plughole while falling out with each other.
They have made mistakes sure, but this thread and others has just become a repetive bile fest and after while you tend to tune out. I also maintain that in the absence of a credible alternative, much of the whining is a bit pointless. Who really thinks that Labour will make any real difference?

I suspect if the business you work for had as many forced changes in leadership, as many court cases lost on company policy, and as much money spaffed away to the managers' mates as the Tories have, you'd not be staying with the company.

I'm surprised you keep subscribing to the Telegraph, considering it is virtually nothing but bile, given it troubles you that much.

I guess they have to stay true to pretending to work on the policies that didn't get them elected.

I think it is overlooked how much this point is valued by the electorate i.e. ignoring the manifesto that they all campaigned for.
I'm not sure I follow. You think the electorate don't care, and people aren't talking about that fact? Or you think they do care?
I think the electorate do care and that a significant number of people voted for levelling up and Boris. They now feel alienated by making-rich-people-richer policies.
What policies are you referring to?
I'm sure there are many, but things like improving trains services in the south (with HS2) whilst making them worse in the north (axing HS2). Liz Truss also went big on a few tax cuts for the rich which I think had an impact on voters even if Sunak was slightly more moderate.
Don't see how HS2 makes the rich richer and Truss' tax cuts sadly didn't see the light of day.

@rjsterry you don't need to go back that far to get a few examples. you can stop pretending you don't know what I'm talking about now ;)

I think Sunak's planning on bringing in emergency legislation that says that the laws of physics don't apply in the UK.

I can only assume that Sunak is @Manc33, as he seems to be applying the same sort of logic.

  • Why not just call an election, put leaving the ECHR as part of the manifesto and then see whether they have a mandate for it.

These last few years have been excruciating.
  • Part of me thinks ‘Just fuck it, let’s leave the ECHR and see who the next bogey man for their failures is’

"We need to end the merry-go-round" says Sunak, as he proposes legislation that would allow us to send refugees to Rwanda and Rwanda to send them straight back.

If this was a comedy people would say it was too on the nose.

My favourite bit was Sunak saying he respects and accepts the decision of the Supreme Court at the beginning of a statement saying he's going to change the law to get round it.

Because it doesn't actually make any difference to our obligations regarding refoulement. The only way this policy can work is if the Rwandan government completely overhauls its asylum system. I'm not sure it's likely to do that just to keep an ex minister happy.
