One of the loveliest dishes I ever had was half a dozen or so spears of perfectly cooked asparagus with a lemony sauce hollandaise. You couuld say it was gilding the lily, but it was very nice.

Raw asparagus is worth a try. Quite sweet... reminded me of scrumping peas.

He's in Wales, so it could well be that.

Edwyn found a load in the noodles container. You can wear them as comedy eyeballs.

But if you add the obligatory £4.99 Seano bottle of plonk, that's a princely £12.36. What woman wouldn't be impressed?

As I said, Edwyn has an iso full - I think he has flloded the market, so prices have gone down.

Noice shirley. Mrs B still on Dr's orders for steak, and you to wash it down with wine?

Did you start a new job recently (ish)? How's that (unless I made it up)

Well remembered. Mrs SB short of iron so had excessively rare steak with spinach. Washed down with an amazing 2003 red left by my late godfather who sadly passed away when I was about 20. Frustratingly I cannot contact his wife despite my best efforts.

New job is amazing. Very hard work but absolutely loving it Vs my old role and cant really explain why. Feels like more of the fun stuff and less of the boring stuff - but must be more to it than that...

On the downside can't sell the London flat despite a 15% reduction in price so may have to move to a rental which is a shame to p!ss the money down the drain, but I do get it - my wife is going mental living where she works.

Good to hear on the job.

Not a great time to sell flats in London unfortunately.

Apologies for appearing "stalkerish", but I am blessed/cursed with a good memory. I thought you moved out Cambridge kind of way. I remember when commutes still happened that you did a few into the city from up that way.
