Yeah but you're not a team leader at the Tour de France.

Still don't get why you wouldn't though, it's faster, more stable and you have better control of the brakes.

    Negilgable, disagree...meh

Sagan 31 mins down. Should make the time cut, just.

    What is the cut-off?

Around 40 mins I think. Would be criminal if he missed out.

Behave, it's not negligible at all. And no-one has mentioned the weight forward and lower on the drops giving you a much better technique and ability to pressure the front tyre to create more grip.

:) you don't know what you're on about, try descending in the drops, especially when it's full of corners. You can tell it's the best way because everybody does it that you're watching apart from Zac who is the one the cameras are watching while he f***s everything up.

If Roglic gets a 10s bonus + 7s gap he should bump Froome into 4th?
  • Lucky Porte crashed when he did since he would have crashed here anyway.

You need to be on the drops to do the whole hips back bum slightly off the saddle, floaty balancing thing. I <3 it.

The descent is nowhere near as technical at the moment, easing off and coasting down now.

Good one. Can't wait to see you descend on either an MTB or road bike, or corner a motorbike (trackday?! I seem to remember that you ride motorbikes) and let's see how it goes.

You have drops on a motorbike??

(Or an MTB?? Mine's actually got a "riser" bar on it for better descending)

And his pride. He could have just given up but I think he's too competitive for that. He needs to still be considered Sky's top GT man. He doesn't want a huge deficit to Thomas, so it could always seem as if he hadn't had that silly crash on the first stage he could have won the thing.

Froome has been awesome on this descent and is now taking it up for both his own 3rd place and to protect G. Top bombing.
