He was riding down with his bodyguard to get to team bus, gendarme mistook him for a fan and pulled him off his bike.

    Cheers.

Gendarme pulled him off his bike in the belief that no pro can ride a bike in such an ungainly manner :)

Great result today for Thomas- I do hope Sky now back him to the hilt for the win.

So Nibz be like, sheeeet if it weren’t for my crook cracked back I’d have defo been on for a top ten place today - maybe just behind Landa!

Who are you trying to hook with that trolling?

Seriously Steven Kruijswijk finished 6th at about a minute. Nibali would have been all over this race.

Who's going to be the first to say G has only won a tour because of people crashing out?

So Froome says he’s conceded and will ride for Thomas.

Ok he crashed when the rozzer pulled him off - less fun.
  • On top of it all Froome gets pulled off by a copper.

    Crappy day for Froome eh?

    So, totally sh1t stirring post...

If Gee pulls 100% for Froome today? Is Froome on course for his 5th win?

No. He didn’t have the legs to follow when attacks came regardless.

Greipel has a quick word on Demare

Maybe somebody should tell @GroupamaFDJ and @ArnaudDemare that there is GPS tracking in @LeTour. Chapeau to lose just 9min on a 17 km climb on @NairoQuinCo #notthefirsttime

Glad to know you don't respect me as much as I respect you. I thought you were smarter. There are jury members everywhere at all times. I'm sending you my files. Given that you are an expert, let's see what you think about it.

"I crashed in a turn - in the corner I made a mistake," Sagan said "It looked like a fast corner, but after I just went a little more right - I was braking but it wasn't enough. After I flew through the forest and I hit a big rock with my ass."

    Tasty.
But The Gorilla knows, and said as much when he missed the time cut (or was it DNF as it was hopeless?)
Demare has ridden completely solo through two really tough days and made the cut each time. It's either incredible heroism, or.....not.

Any chance it is a false account? As you say, not really like him to stir it up.

Possibly this, given the "#notthefirsttime" hashtag Greipel used.

When he missed the time cut he tweeted that he was proud he didn't hold onto a car. He didn't name anyone, but we could fill in the blanks.
Demare then rode two massively hard stages all alone.

Greipel has always seemed to be the complete gentleman and hugely respected in the peloton. It's really out of character, unless he's actually right.

That said, he may have been mistaken about Demare's climbing speed and he's since deleted the tweet.

Probably due to his team's PR staff asking him not to cause trouble. Or perhaps he thought better of it. Doesn't mean he's wrong though.
