The roadside display of French resistance fighters all got a little Les Revenants for a minute there.

Looked like the Les Mis barricade scene from the distance. Peloton showing them a bit of respect.

    'Do you hear....'

Sorry, watched / listened to / sung it far too many times

Pre-Alpe snooze for the main GC lads......hell of a ride from GvA though.
Napoleon, don't be jealous that I've been chatting online with babes all day. Besides, we both know that I'm training to be a cage fighter.

Can't see G being happy as it seems likely he'll be deprived of a possible day in yellow.

Portal quoted as saying its too early to take on yellow, so ...

I'd have thought they'd have taken it, but I'll accept they probably know best :D

Nothing other than a bunch of classics specialists with a few polka dot chasers riding off the front of a sleepy peloton with GVA in amongst them and looking likely to stay in yellow for at least another day. There was virtually a full peloton over the top of the HC climb including the lanterne rouge!

GVA in a leading group over 8 minutes up on the peloton with the big names. Really slow....

And some guy on a mountainbike jumped over the breakaway a while back.

Apparently Cavendish 1:30 behind the Kittel-Grone group!
Mustn't be having a good day if he is behind the disillusioned and the injured.

Sky should hire you shouldn't they, you're a tactical genius. And you'd tick a diversity box too!

Shame you're a long way away as it might wake the peloton up too.

  • So how did GvA get away with the break? Was everyone else caught napping or do they just not really care?
