Demare given the win by the narrowest of margins.
    Laporte continues his impressive form.
Now, will the 3 kms rule apply or was that a catagorised all the way to the line?
Most of the favourites made the first group. Fuglsang, Zakarin and Van Garderen missing.

    Edit:
    Loses as it currently stands

    Oomen +0.20
    De La Cruz +0.28
    Barguil +0.34
    Fuglsang +1.38
    Zakarin +5.14
    Costa +17.33
    MIA Van Garderen

    Slagter at 34sec too

My pick for the stage was nowhere and my GC pick finished 17 mins down. Was an out there choice but that's just unfortunate!

Unfortunately Hatch had no idea it was Laporte either in fact he never even mentioned "the Cofidis rider" but kept going on about the first, second and fourth riders.

It was hard to make anyone out from that footage in the last km to be fair. I'm assuming there still hasn't been a photo finish picture with the lines added?

I've looked at this ten times. I can't seperate 1&2. Shurly a dead heat?

Methinks the home jury had a little to do with this...
It's a little like wrestling a gorilla. You don't quit when you're tired. You quit when the gorilla is tired.

Brian Smith joked about it, saying it's photo finish but where's the finish line?

Gawd this is painful in more ways than one, today.
