Embarrassingly easy for Gaviria and Quick Step in Colombia.
Just embarrassing for Nairo Quintana and Movistar as he and half the team taste tarmac, about 6kms from the finish.
However, it seems that as if by magic, he somehow managed to get back into the bunch before the finish."Science is a tool for cheaters". An anonymous French PE teacher.0 -

All seems a bit pointless when we can't use them for working out how many cobbled monuments Tomekke is going to win...Warning No formatter is installed for the format0 -

Echelon with 75km to go has caught out Bouhanni. Nobody apart from Quickstep seem overly keen to press the advantage now the route has turned into a tailwind.0

Cav no longer finished.Napoleon, don't be jealous that I've been chatting online with babes all day. Besides, we both know that I'm training to be a cage fighter.0

And a 20 second penalty for Groenewegan for drafting a team car puts Viviani into race lead and Cav second overall.0

Cheat! Surely he should just do the honourable thing and withdraw from the race...0

Cav is resurrected. Kittel is finished.0

Kittel beaten by the boxer - he's finished!
Great to see Cav open his 2018 account.
Rick - from the photo it looks like Groenewegan was drafting his own team car which seems to be a big no no, whereas drafting other cars seems less frowned upon!0 -
Rick Chasey wrote:Fairly sure Cav did tooz but ja, luck of the sprinting draw eh?
I was only half-watching but Carlton (usual caveats apply) mentioned the guy who crashed was sticky-bottling past Cav who Carlton said was "relaying" back on. Leaders jersey and being at the same time as the split maybe counted against Groenewegan?0 -

That must have been a stormer for Bouhanni to get back and go for the stage ?0 -
Looks a nice day for the prologue in Provence

Who’s this dude Jhonatan Narvaez in Quick-Step and how did the “h” become detached in his first name?0

Egan Bernal won col oro y paz by 9 seconds from nairo quintana after a bonkers final 500 metres of the final stage. Dayer Quintana won the stage. definitely worth a watch"Unfortunately these days a lot of people don’t understand the real quality of a bike" Ernesto Colnago0
