    Ok I just watched this.

Main takeaway; the Movistar/Astana kit similarities are a joke. Way too similar.

Watched Valencia today, that was a decent stage. Looking forward to the rest of the week in fact, little hidden gem this one!

Yeah, was a great wee race last year. Looking set for another good one, TTT into Calpe tomorrow I think.

Yep, that's a mistake by Movistar. On phone size images they're very similar. SKY looks like a plain white kit. Ag2r still excellent

say what you like about the guy, Valverde is a smart rider and looks great on the bike (i'll forgive him for wearing last years socks).

Christophe Laporte of Cofidis is the bag snatcher.

    Hands down Lorrenzo :)
  • Valv looks pretty stylish there.

I love the bike and the Oakleys.

It's his position that i like, but agreed the kit looks good (despite the socks faux pas and the fact it's too much like Astana).

Ditto Luis Leon giving it some flat back style
  • Wtf? How can you neutralise a TTT and NOT just cancel the flipping thing?

Doesn't sound like Hatch and Stephens are too impressed.

Heavy rain and driving wind buffeted the time trial course on Friday morning, with several teams voicing concerns about the wisdom of squads riding in formation on time trial bikes in such conditions.

Following consultation with the teams, the Volta a la Comunitat Valenciana organisers reached a compromise whereby the stage would go ahead but the day’s result would not have any bearing on the general classification.

I'm all for rider safety, but no-one was forcing them to ride on time trial bikes. The conditions must have been OK enough to allow the stage to start. They wouldn't complain that they had to ride time trial bikes in a mountain time trial, would they? They'd just choose the most appropriate equipment.
It's only a bit of sport, Mun. Relax and enjoy the racing.

Fair enough to cancel the stage I reckon. Nobody wants to see riders crash out on the opening days of the season.

OK so it wasnt as bad as forecast - but it could have been.

I see they annulled a sandy section of the Victoria Tour today too. Looked like they were on a beach.

The point was that they didn't cancel the stage, just the result.
So, the got quite a bit of stuff like this, as a result:

Just watching Oz. Not many future Paris-Roubaix riders among that lot, never mind cross.

I'm sure Valverde being in the lead was purely incidental...

Either cancel the stage or count the results, neutralising it was pointless. If the conditions were too bad for TT bikes (which they clearly weren't), mandate the use of road bikes.

Seems to be getting huge amount of attention as the new big thing just now (maybe not so big, but by Colombian standards..)

    Meanwhile in France

Last 16k of Stage 4 of l'etoile de Besseges

  • Gallopin wins the final time trial and gets GC overall at the specialgueststar of Besseges

Laporte adds to his stage win with a 2nd overall and Yoan Paillot proves he is a tester with another strong performance for third from a rider never been out of a CT team ( Marseille then Auber )

Sergio Henao is the Colombian Champion again.

The number of adverts on Colombian TV needs to be seen to be believed.

Valverde is just insane. He is always back every year from beginning to end like nothing happened. He is worse than the boogeyman. Worse than John Wick.

That link doesn't seem to go anywhere.

Not sure if this the reference. I don't speak Spanish.

Could Oscar Sevilla really win the race because someone was doping?

    Does Dubai Tour go here?
Good stage. Fenn away fur s lot of the stage but sprint finish or course. Groenwegen Takes it from Cort and Viviani. Aqua Blue were up there at the end too, with a Rally guy sixth I think. All American team.
