I predict Bertie will loose a good bit of time.

I'll go further and name Top 5:
    1. Porte
    2. Pinot @ 4 secs
    3. Quintana
    4. Thomas @ 7 secs
    5. Aru

That's a bold prediction. Almost certainly very wrong, but bold.

I'll just add that I have no idea, but reckon Froome is nowhere near as undercooked as rumoured. He'll be up there. Him or Ritchie for the win, Thomas or Fuglsang for third.

The message I get from the Watchfinder ads (into and out of the itv4 break) is this: slow, ugly models - clearly not fit for purpose - that then break down with mechanical issues.

I got to me one of them watches.

I'd like to know who wears multi-thousand pound watches whilst out cycling!!

    Cavendish, apparently.

Valverde does... if FF was here he'd provide you with a whole raft of photos...

That's why Cav veered to the right so much yesterday... too heavy.
Has anyone mentioned what happened yesterday yet?

    No, what happened yesterday?
I watched a couple of early hour live, laughed at the peloton playing an elaborate practical joke on the solo breakaway, then just read the results.

ITV talked about the GC contenders "... Porte, Contador and Froome. Getting in position".

Isn't Quintana, Pinot, Bardet and the current wearer of the maillot jaune a contender ?

Actually, I'm not even sure it will. The way Thomas looks, he could probably do a number on the rest and ride in with Fenton.

    This Fenton?

They're now having a discussion about why G has a Welsh flag but reminding people he is British. Yes, yes, yes, the UK is ridiculous to outsiders.

I've just succumbed, too: but not quite as outrageous as you - I've just cracked open a Peroni... which is an anagram of Porte. Spooky...

If you drink enough of them it's a homonym of Aru.
