Oh the tactical choices Sky have.

I guess they could have done without grabbing yellow so soon, but later on in the race; whatcha gonna do when Thomas is down the road???

Froome 9secs down on Thomas in intermediate.

    See you later Porte.

    Not properly aero anyway. Baffling.

Show of force by Sky, as you’d expect, I suppose. Thomas got lucky with the weather and made the most of it.

    Cummings 17:00, disapoint

All the chat from Eisel and Renshaw on ITV was suggesting that Cummings was going to be conservative, so not a surprise.

Lots of chat about the Lotto tyres here in Holland.

    None of it positive.

He had said he was going to take it easy. I guess he has his stage picked out already and doesn't want to crash out today.

I'm not sure how lucky Thomas was with the weather, looked pretty wet for Bardet, his minuteman, who he nearly caught

The time graphics and producer choice of who to follow have been atrocious

We didn't see anything of him to see - he might as well have teleported to the finish.

    Wait a minute...

And all this daft Sky talk (Porte and Fotheringham, I'm looking at you...) about the team looking as strong this year... and this is a climber heavy team...

    Right.

    Forget your GC hopes guys.

Great day for Whitchurch High School old boys. Captain a British Lions win in the morning, lead the Tour in the evening

I've noticed that Thomas always has a great day when his rugby team has won in the morning

The French TV reporters reported a strongly worsening, unfavourable wind shortly after Thomas finished. Sounded a bit seat-of-the-pants, but judging by the slow second half for people like Martin, it seems plausible.
