Try Eurosport briefly during the ad break to hear Kirby inform us that 'Sagan isn't currently in any difficulty'. He's not even out on the course, that's why! Meanwhile David Millar is pointing out technical stuff that the casual viewer wouldn't have noticed.

If it wasn't for ITV4 seemingly having more adverts, they'd be well ahead in the battle of the broadcasters.

I think the watchfinder advert could become quite irritating sometime about Wednesday

You have an amazing tolerance - it is irritating me less than an hour into a three week race

I noticed one earlier had a water bottle on the seat tube. Nothing on the down tube. Surely the TT isn't long enough to get dehydrated after you start, maybe it's on there for some aerodynamic trickery?

Zubeldia even manages to start while both ITV and Eurosport are on a break.

Maybe it hides a battery for the motor in the seat tube?

Seems to be getting wetter again - conditions may decide this particular stage.

Little flower's Polish TT kit looks good.

I do like the number and quality of drop in guests on ITV commentary.

I was thinking the same - most of them have got interesting things to say about other riders as well as their own form. Mark Renshaw was quite interesting on the subject of Peter Sagan. David Millar now pumping Roche for information about tyre choice and pressures.

Remember when ITV were terrified about using words like 'peloton' in case it scared the casual punter off?
