I'd forgotten those - they're worse than Carrera.

Oh, the humanity. Imagine what Fignon felt when having to put that lot on.
It's only a bit of sport, Mun. Relax and enjoy the racing.

The team presentation just starting on Eurosport.
Schedule now says it's on until 9pm.
Really, that's far too much cringe worthy tv.

Apparently no gimmicks this year though. Just being shepherded on with stereotypical efficiency. Boooooo...

The cabaret act suggests I could be quite a John Travolta in Dusseldorf.

I had really high hopes for some proper what-the-flippery though. My wedding reception (about 25 miles down the road) was gatecrashed by the local carnival dance troupe, for example.

    "Smiley" Degenkolb entertaining the locals.
Can't help but think that somewhere, Frenchie is throwing things at the tv.

Not sure that Kittel will be able to get up that ramp.....
Bouhanni going with the innocent schoolboy look.

Proof that Contador is yesterday's chip papers...

Cavendish resolutely playing down expectations. Only bit that confuses me is how you work for a team leader (Cummings) who's either swanning around at the back or pissing off without you?

Very disapointing... they've got a pub covers band providing the musical interlude, and not Düsseldorf's own Kraftwerk.

Too many German speaking riders in this Tour.
At least the Belgians are speaking Brexit.

For all the worries about Germany's ambivalence towards pro cycling (caused by the drugs history), the longest bar in Europe seems pretty happy to have the Tour drop by: https://twitter.com/TDFReporters/status/880479936724828161

Froome shamelessly milks the crowd, while Marcel Wüst shamelessly milks Christian Knees.

Can you imagine the relief of the director when he realised he could switch from children 'singing' to an interview with Quintana?

Funny, I would have thought it would be the other way around.....

You obviously didn't have sound up...

Twenty kids singing a song they didn't know, in a key they couldn't find, in a language they didn't speak. My wife actually came upstairs to see why I was laughing so loudly.
