The form gap between Porte and Froome is considerable. I doubt Froome has enough time between now and the Tour to get to the level required to win

Porte's odds for the Tour dropped to equal favourite with Froome after the stage yesterday.

Porte still hasn't managed a 3 week tour without some form of collapse along tne way ... Hopefully, this will be tne year to change that but I doubt it as his current form only suggests he has one direction to go in ...

Just read inrng's Roads to Ride on the Plateau de Solaison - gonna be a doozy of a MTF to finish off a weeks racing; 11km at over 9% average is enough to allow an in form climber to put serious time into rivals.

Shame that only in form climber seems to be Richie who just needs to defend

Today's 115km stage looks a lot better than the 101km romp they have planned for July 14th.

Apparently it's kicked off early. Nine in the lead group. Then peloton reduced to 30 due to Froome attacking. About 85km to go.

When does dodgy streaming TV start?

A bit profound that post I just made.
Looks like the race has completely exploded. Porte isolated and riders everywhere.

Streams not until 12-30 to 40ish Rich, I'm afraid. :(

Of course, as soon as we post, it's coming back together on the descent.
Gallopin lone leader being chased by Barguil, Voeckler and..............wait for it.....................Si Clarke.
Live pictures about half way up the Colombieres I reckon.

I have Eurosport player UCI channel starting at 1240 - it seems FranceTVsport starts at 1330 local which would make sense.

Jesus Herrada (Movistar), Esteban Chaves and Roman Kreuziger (Orica-Scott), Alexei Lutsenko (Astana), Tony Gallopin (Lotto-Soudal), Warren Barguil (Sunweb), Simon Clarke (Cannondale-Drapac), Thomas Voeckler (Direct Energie), Vegard Stake Laengen (UAE Team Emirates) have 25 seconds lead over the yellow-blue jersey group

That's old news. Current situation is that Gallopin is in the lead solo about a minute ahead of the peloton (who seemed to have calmed down a bit as Swift was second over the first summit)

68kms left for Gallopin. The bunch 50 seconds behind.
    Just starting on the Aravis.
So, it looks like we'll get to see both the final climbs in full.

Froome has attacked again. Valverde & Porte have followed. But then regrouped

Kwiatkowski, Clarke, Barguil and Kreuziger are between them and Gallopin

Froome's attacked again - Valverde, Contador and Martin follow.

Imagine if this race had an exciting rider like Quintana in it instead of boring robotic Froome.

All that are left, about 25 riders, are now together, as they start climbing Colombieres.
