Jungels should be 26-27 seconds to the fore in the white jersey comp if I have done my sums right0

They now reckon Bob J has won the jersey by 59 seconds."Science is a tool for cheaters". An anonymous French PE teacher.0 -

what's scary is that our "carlton kirby" posting here still makes more sense than the TV version0 -
what jersey is castroviejo wearing (apologies if they mentioned it - but I just cannot cope with the commentary)
edit - is that a euro-champ?0 -

I'd say so. A pretty poor ride by him."Science is a tool for cheaters". An anonymous French PE teacher.0 -
first place so far
Rohan Denis 11:18
quintana needs to finish in 12:240 -
Dennis finishes second, without featuring much at all in the climbs.
As with P-N, stage one turned out to be decisive. BMC's TTT crucial."Science is a tool for cheaters". An anonymous French PE teacher.0 -
Nairo my man
That countdown ticker is good (not needed here, but..)0 -
quintana holds onto lead
lost count but I think Rohan Denis leapfrogs Pinault - maybe TIbo even beaten by Roglic in overall0 -

Oh I don't know, it was only down to Sky's shocking TTT that Thomas was so far down, and no TTT at the Giro!0

He would have been right up there but for Sky's shocking TTT, only Quintana was climbing better than Thomas, and he got a stage win. I think he'll be pretty happy with that0 -

I think he'll be more than happy with his individual rides - won st 2, 2nd behind Nairo on st 4, 4th as part of that front group on st 5, even best of all the GC contenders today
That TTT....0 -
Sky lost 1 minute 41 to BMC, 1:21 to FDJ and Movistar, and 1:01 to TLJ - so being 58 seconds down to the best of them by the end is not that bad0
-
Thomas would have won if not for that time trial, wouldn't he? He must be pissed off, but happy with his form I'd have thought.2020/2021/2022 Metric Century Challenge Winner0

Wouldn't have gotten away on the stage he did had he had a better TTT.0 -

Stop moving the goalposts.
I'd say 5th on GC given the TTT is impressive. Second to Quintana on a MTF is very encouraging.0 -
The virtual GC, minus the TTT and Rick's wind up.
1) G Thomas
2) N Quintana @ 22"
3) P Roglic @ 49"
3) T Dumoulin @ 49"
5) T Pinot @ 58"
6) R Uran @ 1'-02"
7) R Dennis @ 1'-09"
Geraint gained a total of 19 seconds from his stage 2 win......"Science is a tool for cheaters". An anonymous French PE teacher.0 -
I think Thomas will be pretty pleased with his personal performance.
Dumoulin quietly going about his business in the run up to the Giro.0 -

I think Geraint might have got more positivity from the masses if he had been born Dave Smith from east of Offa's Dyke.(Or even Kenya)0 -
