Yes. The joke is Carlton Kirby keeps saying how he's a big challenger for MSR, despite him never coming in the top 30. He also calls him Si.

Christ. Shows how regularly I mute it then.

Didn't he win some MTF in the the Vuelta in 2012 or 2013 and do some last gasp break late in the day to keep the mountains jersey, and has done SFA since?

know anything about Egan Arley Bernal ? 20 yr old Colombian leading the white jersey comp? He was consistently good in the last years Avenir in the mountains (but not as good as Gaudu :) )

Is that Swiss Tony on the right??
His lab test results are supposedly in the 'off the charts' category

Huge hopes for him back in his motherland. identified as a future star a while back

Wouldn't be the first of Savio's riders to produce interesting lab results...

what were they thinking? boring course but with a few sharp right angles just to see if they can ruin someone's season with a fast off.

Dowsett leading early doors with time 11:35

This has been the final stage since 2011. It's been OK so far.

I thought they took them out away from the coast and only back along the sea front - but just looked at last years and you are correct

Yep - poor Cannondale not gonna break duck here (ok with Dumoulin and Dennis I didn't really see him hanging on). Bodnar takes lead for Bora.

Cumming was almost motionless - barring legs of course - on that bike. And damn he is thin - wasp waisted

Its weird, if you look at Simon "Simo" Clarke's twatter account, you won't see best mate Carlton Kirby mentioned at all. That must hurt.

Anyway, Si Clarke or Uran for the TT anyone?

we will have to arrange Pro-Race dinner if Si Clarke actually wins MSR - one course, no choice Humble Pie.

    clarke should already have finished

First rides of interest have set off - Jungels and Bernal bother now riding with 7-8 minutes to go. Jungels needs 17 secs

Don't worry, I have Si and Stijn Devolder set up in a private whatsapp group. They don't tend to reply much though, when a message comes in I shout 'AND HERE WE GO!'

Bernal 16 seconds ahead of Jungels, has to go 16 seconds faster to hold onto the jersey, according to our fearless commentary team.
