Yates and Uran couldn't stick with Quintana and G, G is riding tempo behind Quintana, not sure he'll be able to close the gap.

Yeah, what a loser, coming a lowly 8th on a MTF in early March.

sorry that's not good enough for someone hired to win GT's. when the difference between expectations and results is very big then it's called a flop.

First of all, he wasn't hired to win GTs, rather he'd shown potential to be a GT contender. He's started one GT as a leader since he joined Sky and had to abandon due to illness after a promising start. The jury is still out.

Not really. Even if you are restricting it Sky, he still won the Giro Del Trentino.

If you want bigger Sky flops, I would venture,Simon Gerrans who did OK but excelled elsewhere. Steve Cummings you could add - he needed his own space to thrive.

    Tasty little stage today.

What a treat cycling is this time of year. Double trouble this weekend, MSR next, E3 and Gent within a week after that, then Flanders then Roubaix.

Nom nom nom nom nom nom nom nom nom.

Definitely a day to see what Movistar are capable of when it comes to defending a lead. That final 60 kms or so is full of opportunities and will make it very hard for any team to control.
